Chapter 4

The moment they arrived in Hargeon, after that hell of a long train ride from Crocus, they stopped at a motel. This was worse than the hotel they'd stayed at the night before, but at least they had somewhere to sleep. This time, everyone had to share one room.

Wendy and Romeo took the floor. Natsu and Lucy took the small armchair by the window. Mira and Laxus brought sleeping bags in case something like this happened. Gray and Juvia took the bed closest to the left side of the room, and Jellal and Erza took the one to the right.

The exceeds slept on tables. The bedside tables. Next to the lamps. At least they were comfortable.

They all fell asleep. That train ride took a hell of a lot out of them.

The next morning, each of them grabbed a piece of toast from the small dining area the motel provided and walked to the train station.

Here go the last ten hours of normal life until the battles.

They were almost to Alvarez. So close.

They reached the final stop and got off. They went to train, before the battle with the Alvarez Empire.

Natsu and Lucy went and trained together. There was this new trick they wanted to try. A unison raid.

Celestial Fire Dragon. That was a the name of the Unison Raid.

Lucy set up the training dummy and backed up. She locked her fingers with Natsu's.

They each held one hand out.

"Fuse our powers, oh celestial dragon. Lend us your strength. CELESTIAL FIRE DRAGON UNISON RAID!" They spoke. The spell worked perfectly. They tried it out a few more times and then rested.

Erza was trying to change her armors quicker than she already can.

She requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armor, then to her Purgatory Armor. Then, in just two seconds, she was out of her Purgatory Armor and in her Piercing Armor. She continued this and went through all of her armors until she was back in her Heart Kreuz Armor.

She took a break and got some water. After her break, she started training with her swords. She started doing flips and all sorts of tricks with her sword.

Elfman, Lisanna, and Mira were all training and sparring each in each of their takeover forms.

First up, Elfman Vs. Mira.

Elfman went into his Lizardman Takeover. Mira went into her Satan Soul Takeover. Mira shot a strong blast at Elfman, but that didn't stop him. He raged on and switched to his Beast Mode Takeover. After Elfman was defeated, it was Lisanna Vs. Mira. Mira changed into her Satan Soul: Sitri Form. They fought and fought until it was Lisanna Vs. Elfman.

They fought and fought for what seemed like hours, until Lisanna was on the ground. They rested for a while.

Gray and Juvia were sparring.

"Ice Make: Lance!" Gray shouted, sending several sharp points shooting towards Juvia.

"Water Body!" Juvia shouted, and the points went through, making not even a single scratch.

"Water Jigsaw!" Juvia yelled.

"Ice Make: Shield!"

The ice blocked the water, not long before the water finally broke the shield, sending Gray flying backwards.

"You've gotten stronger." Gray complimented Juvia.

"Thank you, Gray~Sama."

They continued to spar until Juvia collapsed, out of exhaustion.

Wendy, Gajeel, Levy, and Romeo all decided to train together. They all sparred for quite some time, before Wendy collapsed in exhaustion.

They took a break and immediately went back to sparring.

The exceeds were racing. They were trying to get faster and stronger in case anyone on the front line got in trouble and needed to be flown off.

After a little bit, Happy and Carla rested for a bit, while Lily was going into his Edolas form over and over again, trying to gain back the strength he once had in Edolas.

After everyone finished training for the night, they camped in the woods.

The next morning, they were greeted with a surprise ambush.

Lucy had been knocked to the ground. She looked up at the figure standing above her.

Black hair, black and white robe.
