Natsu fumbled around in his pocket. The small velvet box was gone. The moment he saw Happy, an angry expression crossed his face. He glared at the cat. The cat smirked.
"Looking for this, Natsu?"
"Happy! Give that back!" Natsu lunged forward.
"Nuh uh. First, you need to tell me what you're planning."
Natsu sighed in defeat. "Fine."
He explained to the cat what he was planning. The cat flew around the room, squealing.
"Dude. Calm down. I don't even know if she'll say yes."
"Of course she will!! Do you know how depressed she's been?"
"Wait, What?" Natsu stared at the cat. "She's been depressed?"
"Yea. Only writing her stories or going out with the girls."
Natsu looked down. He felt bad he'd caused this much pain.
He ran out of the house, of course after grabbing the box. He ran towards Lucy's apartment and climbed through her window, like old times.
He saw her sleeping figure. He smiled. He went to the kitchen and made her some pancakes. Since it was almost Valentines Day, he made them heart-shaped. Of course they looked demented, but at least he tried.
He heard Lucy's shuffling from her bed and decided to walk over to her. When she opened her eyes and noticed Natsu, she smiled.
She looked at his hands and noticed that he was holding pancakes.
He handed her the pancakes.
She looked at him.
"Are these supposed to be Hearts?"
"Yea..." He rubbed the back of his neck, sheepishly.
She smiled.
"Thank you Natsu."
When she was done eating and got changed, Natsu told her to follow him.
He walked her to beneath the Sakura Tree, the place they shared their first kiss.
He had her look at the scenery, before getting on one knee and opening the box.
She turned around to see the kneeling figure and covered her mouth. She felt like she was going to cry.
"Lucy Heartfilia, you have been the light of my world. The star to my night. You bring me up when no one else can. You make me feel special. And I want these feelings to last. Especially with you. Forever."
She let out a small sob, smiling at the cringey words.
"So, Lucy Heartfilia, will you make these feelings last for the rest of my life? Luce, will you marry me?"
She smiled widely, tears streaming down her face. She jumped on him, hugging him, her arms around his neck.
"Yes! Yes of course!!!"
They kissed and sat for a while. They decided to head to the guild.
Lucy walked in, putting her hair up in a high ponytail. The ring shimmered in the sunlight. The whole guild looked at the happy couple.
Lucy's friends ran up to her and they immediately started planning the wedding.
Natsu got congratulated by the guys of the guild, smiling at his happy fiancé.
Everything was having it's happy end.
