David Reinman, or Dr. Reinman as he is to his students, is a genius math professor at Yale. Living an amazing life, David seems like the happiest guy in the world, until he is struck by illness. He slowly falls prey to nerve-racking symptoms that don't seem to point to any particular cause, until he is forced to see his doctor about them. It is then he recives the dreaded news from his doctor, he has a severe form of a fast-moving cancer. Will he recover? Will he find the happiness that life always had, even through this hardship?
