Its Okay

You and Wendy talked to each other until the games were over for the day. You wanted to hang out more but she seemed too tired.

You: "Good night, Wendy." You kissed her forehead. She turned a slight pink.

Wendy: "Good night." She gives you a peck on the cheek.

You: "You know my room. Don't hesitate to stop by." Wendy nodded as you walk away. You looked outside your window, it was raining. You lay on the bed, the members that you were stuck with seemed to be gone. "Great. No one to talk to."

Your eyes opened, you didn't remeber falling asleep. You rub your eyes as you hear thunder boom.

You: "When did that start?" You look around to find the room still empty. "Guessing they partied too hard." You then heard a very soft knock on the door. Just one sniff from your nose and you recognized Wendy's scent. You open the door to find Wendy about to walk away.

Wendy: "Sorry did I wake you? I should g-" You stop her by pulling her into the room.

You: "Now will you tell me what's wrong?" Wendy looked down at her feet, hesitant to say anything. "You don't have to but it helps to talk." You tried.

Wendy: "Its just the lightning." You tilt your head slightly.

You: "You're afraid of it?" Wendy looked at you and quickly shook her head.

Wendy: "N-No! Its just... the flashes remind me of what happened... when the games began." Your hand balls up into a fist. You sigh and sit on the floor.

You: "Come here." You pat your lap and Wendy blushes. "You can trust me." She slowly walks up to you and sits in your lap. You wrap your arms around her.

Wendy: "W-What now?" You grab her hand and rub it gently.

You: "Calm down." She breathes in deeply and breathes out. "Now close your eyes." Wendy looks at you and you give a reassuring smile. She slowly closes her eyes. You hum quietly as you continue to rub her hand.

Lightning flashes and Wendy jumps. You hold to her tighter and kiss the top of her head.

You: "I'm here. I'll keep you safe." This continues until Wendy falls asleep. You smile. "Sweet dreams." You close your eyes and let your fatigue take over.

------------Another skip--------------

You open your eyes to find sunlight peaking through the window. You look down to find Wendy still sleeping. She has a content smile on her face as she slowly opens her beautiful brown eyes.

You: "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." Wendy looks over still half asleep.

Wendy: "Good morning, (Y/N)." You can see as her mind slowly registers what she had said. Her face turns bright red as she remembers what happened.

You: "Sleep well?" Wendy nods slowly. "I did too. Now lets get ready." You let her go and you both stand. She looks over and opens her mouth to speak but you cover it with a finger. "Remember what I said."

Wendy: "R-Right." Wendy goes up to you and gives you a kiss. It lasted slightly longer than the last so you were pleased.

You: "Don't be afraid to come by if it happens again." Wendy smiles and nods as she goes out the door. You look at her before yelling. "I love you!" She stops and you can tell her face was red.

Wendy: "I l-love you t-too!"
