Alternate ending to Greys anatomy Season 14 episode 5

Merediths POV-

I walked into the house and there he was...my father. By now Nathan had come inside and was confused about who this man was. Thatcher was going on about how he blames me for lexie and Susan's death. he was saying that he was going to kill something I love. He said it was Nathan or me. or that I could pay him $2000. Which I didn't have that money just lying around. I was in thought of how to get out of this when I heard Nathan say " I do"  What since when. that was when he pulled out a ring. My heart dropped he was going to propose but Thatcher had ruined everything. He took the ring and said "I'm still going to half to shoot you. then just like that Nathan fell to the floor, and Thatcher had left. I called 911 and applied presure, telling him to stay awake. But he shut his eyes.

2 hours later--

Baliey and Pierce came out after Nathans surgery.

"He coded twice but we were able to get him back. as you know we wont know anything until he wakes up" Baliey said.

"Um when can I see him" 

" Schmidt is taking him up to recovery now"

"Thank you Dr.Bailey" I hugged her and went up to recovery to see him

when I was waiting for him to wake up all I could think about was how he wanted to propose to me. after the police caught thatcher they had brought me the ring thinking it was mine so i took it and just stared at it thinking. at one point I had put it on to see what it would look like.

I was snapped out of my thought when I heard him stirring out of sleep.

"Hey, how you feeling " I asked him 

 "fine under the circumstances"

"Yes" I said

"Huh?"

"Yes... I will marry you" Revealing the ring that was on my finger 

"Really!!"

"Yes" I said for the third time

"Come here" He said. I got up from the chair I was sitting in and went closer to him and kissed him.

Of course, that was when baliey came in to check on Nathan.

"Oh my- I see you're doing a lot better... ill come back later." She said

"No Baliey we're done you can do what you have to do."

She did her check on Nathan and left 

"Mer"

"Hmm" I said coming out of my thoughts

"Come lay with me" 

I walked over and laid on my side facing him.Taking in his smell. And listening to every beat of his heart. 

I soon drifted into sleep.

4 months later:

 I was awakened by a severe pain in my lower stomach...
