Alternate ending to Greys anatomy Season 14 episode 5

4 Months later

I was awoken by a pain in my side it was time.....

Nathans POV:

Its 3:30 AM and feel Mer grab my arm and tell me "Its time" 

 "Ok ok baby time ok"

"Nathan!"  I hear her yell snapping me back to reality

"Yes yes what do you need?" I say in a calm voice 

"Get the keys" 

"Right Right the keys the keys" I look for the keys " Where are the damn keys!" Pannicking i find the keys and run to maggies room she answers when i knock.

"Baby time?" she asks me

"yeah" I respond

"NATHAN!" Meredith yells again

"Ok well i got to go can you just make sure the kids stay asleep and bring them to the hospital in the morning" 

"Yeah... you better go before she kills you" 

" Yea thank you" I say as I run back to meredith ok I have the hospital bag and keys." 

we get to the hospital and get her into a room 

"Your a 8cm just a little while longer" say Carina. she leaves, leaving me and Meredith alone 

"soo um we havent talked about names" I said trying break the silence 

"Really nathan really now is not the time."

"Hey i just thought-" 

"When you have to push something the size of a..a pumpkin out of you than you can decide what the topic conversation topics" 

Just then Carina walked in " OK let take a look....10cm. Meredith you can start pushing"

"wait nathan im scared"

"Hey its okay im right here"

"Ok grey push"

5 pushes later

"its a girl...OK dad would you like to hold her." carina handed me our baby girl

"Do we have a name?" carina asked us. I looked at Mer then back at Carina.

"Nathan.." i heard meredith say

"Huh" 

"what about Madelyn Amelia Grey-Riggs" She said

I simply noded and turned to Carina and said "looks like we have a name"

Carina congratulated us and left. 

"so what made you come up with the name?" I asked Meredith

"I might have had it in my mind for a while now...and Nathan"

"yeah?"

"Give me my baby now" 

"Right.." I said noticing that I was still holding Madelyn. I carefully handed her to Meredith.
