Carnival!

"Violet! Violet, I have exciting news!" I couldn't wait to tell her the fun news.

"What's up, buttercup?" I love her cute names she comes up with.

"I just talked to one of the Student Council members and they're having a carnival fundraiser this Saturday! Julien's band is going to be playing and I scored us some tickets! Would you wanna go?" I smiled wide.

"Wow, yeah sure that sounds fun."

"You don't sound excited about it," I pouted.

"I am. You know I don't like the kids here. They're annoying." Vi answered back.

"Well, we can ignore them and have fun together! Come on, we'll have a blast." I poked her cheek with a giggle.

"Alright, I'll go," She smiled back.

I gave her a tight bear hug which almost knocked us over in the hallway but who cares! I was excited to go and hang out with Violet. She's so fun to be around! We get to see the boys perform too! It's gonna be a great weekend.

Ever since our sleepover we've gotten closer and seem to get more close every day. I love getting to know her more and build a close friendship with her. She's a major sweetheart and always knows what to say. We're definitely gonna be having more sleepovers together. No doubt.

Violet and I hitched a ride with the band to the fundraiser. Since they had to arrive early to set up, we had to wait around a couple hours for the thing to actually start. I decided to help the student council members set up their booths while Violet watched like a weirdo. I made her help out so she didn't seem rude. She was known around the school but seemed to keep to herself a lot. She acts differently outside of school. I thought that was interesting to witness.

"Vi, why don't you wanna help?" I asked while setting up the cans for the can knock down game.

"Because it's boring and they have enough people to help around here. They're gonna convert you to be their little puppet while they take all the credit." She kept tossing a ball into the air and catching it.

"Wow, what did the Student Council ever do to you?" I chuckled and sat next to her after I finished.

"They're just annoying," She mumbled. I always feel like there's a part of the story she doesn't tell me....

"Come on." I sat up and stuck my hand out to hers. "Let's go roam around and make our own fun."

That put a smile on her face. We walked around the school and found anything we could entertain ourselves with. Our school has a small playground that none of the kids play with, but it was cute for them to put it in for us. We climbed around the pyramid and started doing some "tricks" which consisted of us constantly falling.

"If you wanna talk about anything even if it seems too difficult to talk to someone about, you can always talk to me." Violet looked at me surprised.

"Where's this coming from, Pen?" She asked.

"I just want you to know that you'll always have me, okay?" I kissed her cheek with a smile. I think I saw a slight blush!

"Thanks, cutie." She mumbled.

"Let's go watch the boys. They're going to perform right now." I pulled her off the floor and ran to the stage with her. We squeezed our way to the front and cheered on our boys. Julien was so amazing up there and holy fuck did he look super hot. They're all so talented.... I could feel the music flowing through my body as I watched Julien sing in front of me. The chills started from my back and traveled down my arms. My eyes would only focus on the tall, lanky boy in front of me that sang his heart out. He was the only voice my ears would pick up on. My heart skipping a beat every time he flashed his infamous smile. He was the only one that could make me feel this way.
