Violet☾:
I was heading to my locker when I saw a pink sticky note hanging from the black metal door. I read it before I did anything else.
"Come meet me in the auditorium!!"
-Pen♡
I had no idea what this was about so I was a little nervous, so to say. I made my way to the auditorium which was empty and cold. There weren't any plays happening soon so this place just becomes abandoned. I see a figure in front of the stage with reddish, curled hair flowing down its back. I make the door slam shut so she hears me. I watch her whip around and smile from ear to ear.
"Vi!" She calls out.
I make my way down to her and give her a raised eyebrow, "Why exactly are we in here?"
"Because I have something to ask you! Come here," She smiles as she takes my hand and makes our way onto the stage.
I follow behind her and look around the old stage. There are rustic pieces scattered as well as old props and instruments leading to the back. I don't come here often since I don't have an interest in musicals. However, Hairspray was a really good movie...
"Okay, look at this," Pen snaps me back to reality and shows me a huge blank cloth.
"Uh... what am I looking at?"
"It's what you're going to be drawing on." She can never stop smiling.
"Wait, what? Come again?"
"Mrs. Wittman came to me explaining how she needed an artist for their next play and I volunteered you..." She bit her lip.
"What? I don't draw. Why would you volunteer me?" I don't know what she's talking about.
"Oh, please. Shawn has shown me some of the sketches you've drawn for him and Julien." Damn it.
"Okay, those were PRIVATE. That was rude of him to show you," I crossed my arms against my chest.
"Violet, please. You're really talented from what I've seen and I think you'll do an amazing job. Besides, this could help you practice and show the world what you have to offer." She pulled my hand and flashed me with that persuasive smile.
I stare at her for a moment before speaking, "I'm not gonna be in the play, right?"
"No! Unless if you want to then you can audition, but no. She said the person going for the role can't draw so you'll just draw in advance different pieces then they'll use it in the play. She's gonna give you credit and everything." She didn't take her chocolate brown eyes off of me.
"Fine. I'll do it."
"YAY! Violet, you're amazing. I love you so much," She gave the tightest but most comfortable hugs. Sometimes I didn't want to let go. Right now was one of those times.
"Oh, we can be together more too. She wants me to make the costumes. Apparently, Martha broke her hand and won't be able to do it."
"You can do that?" I asked.
"I told you my nana has been teaching me how to sew since I was a little girl. Do you even listen to me?" I honestly forgot she told me. My bad.
"Of course I do." The bell rang which made us look back towards the noise.

I'm still self-conscious of my drawings. Shawn's an asshole. I should show the picture I have of him in a fucking dress.
"So, guess what," Penelope says with a smile as she sits down next to Julien.
"What?" Julien asks.
"Violet is gonna do it!" She cheered.
