Imagine you like Elijah and finally have the courage to express your feelings (Slightly sexy!)

Based on Dress by Taylor Swift

Who is Elijah Mikaelson? Vampire. Brother. Friend. That question was easy to answer. A harder question was who was Elijah Mikaelson to you. The people in your lives would call the two of you best friends, because of how long you spent together. You didn't know what to call him. Elijah was...Elijah.

The time the two of you spent together wasn't filled with much talking. The two of you hadn't even so much as kissed each other and yet the spark between you was blinding. The tension that clouded you both was so much it was almost palpable. Every time he looked at you, or wrapped you in his arms for a tight hug you fell harder for him. But neither of you had the words to speak, so instead, you spent your time together, sharing long and silent gazes with one another. But no longer.

You had called Rebekah to pick you up and decided you were going to go shopping. You sat in the car on the drive there with a stupid grin taking over your face.

"So what do you want to get?" Rebekah asked as she absentmindedly perused through the clothing racks.

"Just something nice." You said with a shrug.

"What's the occasion?" She asked with a smirk. "Do you want to impress anyone in particular?"

"No." You answered honestly. "I just want to get something that makes me feel brave."

"Okay." She replied, knowing better than to extract the answer out of you. "How about this?"

She pulled out a blue top that you adored but you shook your head, knowing this wasn't the occasion for that. "But I think I might get that anyway, it is gorgeous."

Rebekah chuckled and went back to looking through the racks. She pulled out top after top and one pair of jeans to the next, but none of them were right. "You need to tell me what this is for so I know what to get you."

You were just about to tell her when you saw it. A red bodycon dress that you knew was going to show all of your cleavage and one that was barely going to cover your backside. You hated it. "That's the one."

Rebekah looked back at the dress and frowned before turning back to you. "Are you sure, Love? That's not very...you?"

"I know." You strode to the dress and turned back to Rebekah with a mischievous grin on your face. You took the dress into the changing room and slipped into it. You looked at the mirror and somehow, you hated the dress more. You got out to show Rebekah who looked bewildered at the sight of you. "Oof. That bad?"

"No. Quite the opposite actually." Rebekah said in surprise. "You look gorgeous."

"Thanks."

"Remind me why you don't wear dresses?" Rebekah asked as you went to take off the dress.

"I hate them."

"Don't wear anything that makes you uncomfortable for a boy." Rebekah warned. "No matter how good you look."

"I know." You said as you took the dress to the till to pay for it. "I'm wearing it for me."

Rebekah drove you back home and just as you were about to get out, she stopped you. "So you really aren't going to tell me who this lucky man is?"

"Nope."

"Does Elijah know?"

"Nope."

"He really is mysterious." Rebekah told you with wide eyes. "The best friend himself doesn't get to know."
