Josh and Emma stood frozen not moving a single limb, trying to rethink what had happened. Emma had her mouth open the whole time while Jake was beating the crap out of the monster with a rock. The sheriff stood up and sat beside a tree retaking his breath because his heart nearly stopped, Jake fell down because of dizziness and he felt like he was going to faint.
"What...the...hell?" The sheriff had been mind blown, all of this time of constant searching missing children over the past month had came into sort of a conclusion for him.
"If you're thinking that this is the monster who did all of this, i don't think so, I don't think it had done all this, there is something behind this, maybe not all the missing children was caused by this single, independent f#cking monster." Jake said while trying to catch a breath.
"F#ck." Josh sweared as he finally moved his body and laid on a pile of grass.
"Wow..." Emma said speechless, she was wrong, the monster was certainly real. "You guys wanna go home?" she added.
"Lets just rest here for a bit." Josh said exhaustedly.
After some time, the 4 of them went back home and agreed to go back to the forest to after a day or two for further investigation. They also promised to never tell anyone, even their closest friends. The chief probably went to the bar to get drunk and forget about what just had happened. Jake and Josh walked home awkwardly thinking of what to do next. It was dark and it was nearly 12 PM midnight, the street lights were still illuminating the darkness and their were still some cars passing by the road.
"Hey, umm, Josh, do you want to spy on the military base tomorrow without telling the chief or Emma?" Jake asked,
"What, why?"
"It's suspicious, you know, it is in the middle of the woods and it is a secret, it's a suspect. Maybe they could be making the monsters."
"Thats crazy, but i'll go anyways." Josh sigh
Just like that, they had both decided to spy on the military base the next day.
