The next day Jake and Josh managed to escape from their last class which was English to hurry to the woods earlier so it won't get dark. Together they dashed through the hallways of the school trying not to get caught by any of the teachers or they would get in very big trouble. Jake pushed open the front door of the school and ran to the woods.
Josh had already packed his flashlight in case they don't make it out before dark, and binoculars. Jake and Josh climbed the mesh fence quicker than before, maybe they got used to it. Josh only slip once this time, which means his climbing skills were improving.
Jake sigh as they both entered the woods. This time Jake felt safe, maybe because it wasn't dark yet. It was very different when it's not dark, instead of the feeling of impending doom, the woods looked beautiful. The blue sky could be seen this time, and everything looked more alive. Jake stopped stared at the forest for a second, until he snapped back to reality and resumed to walk to the direction of the military base.
Going to the deep part of the forest they finally reached to the humongous military base. Jake and Josh didn't make the same mistake again and hid behind a thick bush just right behind the electric mesh fence which was surrounding the military base. From there, they could see the soldiers even without the binoculars. The soldiers there seem to be unsuspicious and they were just patrolling the base, Jake tried to find something suspicious.
"Jake! Look, there's a kid." Josh gasped as he passed the binoculars to Jake. There was a boy, maybe about 7 years old with a bob hair and the boy was sobbing wildly and seemed to be struggling, trying to run away. There were 2 soldiers trying to grab hold of the 2 hands of the boy as the boy struggled trying to let go. "Oh, sh#t..." Jake was left speechlessly
"I know right, there's a kid!"
"No, look to the left." Jake said as he returned the binoculars, the boy was not the only strange thing.
"Holy, sh#t."
To the left of the kid, there was the same monster Jake had seen, with chains on it's neck, hands and feet inside a huge cage. It was taller and bigger than the one Jake saw yesterday, maybe the size of a truck. About 5 soldiers were pushing the cage from a huge building to another building which looked like a laboratory. The monster was like a human being, except is head was basically it's huge mouth with spiked teeth, it is taller, and it has a tinge of green scales all over it's body. Sort of like a reptile, but even worse.
"Jake, lets leave now." Josh panicked,
"No, wait."
The base had one huge building (perhaps where they keep the monsters), 2 laboratories, 2 watch towers, and another smaller building. The kid was dragged quickly to the second laboratory, later followed by screams that Jake had never heard before. Josh froze when he heard that horrifying sound, Jake was drooling a little bit and had his mouth opened the whole time, speechlessly.
"Josh, I think i know who did all this." Jake said as he looked at Josh slowly.
