Our lives is in the brim of death. We need to save ourselves first before anyone else, because as ruthless and heartless as may it seems, only ourselves can save our own life from being taken away by evil creatures lurking in the dark shadows.
A wise man once told me, darkness has never won by the power of light. But as soon as someone is in the situation of losing the power of light, one may think that darkness will win.
Darkness. A simple word, yet, has a lot of meaning. Same as death.
Death is a word that mortals fear, and evil creatures and immortals do not. Only those in the power of light fear death, and only those who are in darkness do not feel threatened.
Is it?
Do I need to turn over myself to darkness for me to survive this cruel world? Or should I stay within the touch of light?
Looking at these evil creatures in front of us makes me want to choose the first, but seeing my friends wearing that fierce look and releasing that high spirit of theirs, it gives me light. Two options are served on the table, will you let yourself die today? Or fight?
And thus, I chose the latter.
"Victoria!"
My face turned to Tarah who's standing beside me holding a bow and arrow. The weapon she's using is made of wood, a very wonderful advantage for us.
"What?", I asked her, forcing my voice to not shake in fear.
"Don't fall into the dark, as long as we're here beside you, we will win."
I saw Tarah's encouraging smile that made me smile in return. I nodded and held the holy whip, tight.
We are carrying with us weapons. We just saw these weapons standing on a tree while we were running away from the vampires that suddenly attacked us.
We are so thankful that someone left it there, and no vampire saw it because all of the weapons are painted in an intense color of red.
Charice's weapon are small red darts, but I'm not even sure if it will be very helpful for her since they are so little. I was a bit worried about her safety when all she have is a bunch of small darts, but that feeling waver when I saw her kill one of the vampires approaching towards us.
Vampires became furious when Charice killed one of their kind, and that rage made me and Angel almost pee in our pants and skirt. I suggested to them that we shouldn't kill them, at least just have them bruised but they refused of it.
"If we don't kill them then they will kill us instead!"
Yeah she has a point but, the more the vampires are disappearing in front of their eyes, the more their rage increases! And that worries me because what would even happen if we continue to kill one of them? How are we going to survive with these weapons if it has a limit?
Can we even escape these thousands of vampires? I'm thankful that not all of them are fast, but few of them is outrunning the others which is making me worry because I know they're considered as one of the powerful vampires. How are going to even survive and run past them? Huhuhu, I'm scared.
I can see that the vampires consider everyone as family. When I look at their face whenever we killed someone, it's like they can feel the pain and agony the dead vampires felt. But we also consider each of us friends. Well, although I thought of my friends as family but anyway. Their decision is final.
Operation: Kill to Survive.
Angel is holding a sword, I didn't even know that she can weild a sword. Well she said she's still a beginner in fencing, but I'm still impressed by her skills. Tracey is holding two guns on each of his hands, well I know that he can hold a gun but he didn't tell me that he can actually shoot with a gun.
