 "I can't sleep," you whisper in Tom's ear.

   "Insomnia?" he rolls over to face you. You nod. He smiles at you and messes with your hair. "Let's go on a road trip."

   "When?" you ask.

   "Right now."

  "Wait, right now right now?"

   "Yeah, it'll be fun. C'mon pack some stuff. Let's do what we dreamed of during high school."

   "You have no idea how much your cheesiness turns me on, Holland."

   He gives you a sexy smile. "I try."

   You get up and begin to pack clothes, toiletries, the essentials. You get dressed quickly in a band shirt and a plaid flannel. You lock the door and rush into your Jeep, where Tom is currently waiting in the driver's seat.

   "You ready?" he asks as you buckle your seat belt.

   "Yep," you say grinning.

    A couple of hours pass as the two of you speed on the country roads of Dedham, Essex, jamming to Panic! At The Disco and eating Jaffer Cakes.

   "We should do this more often!" you shout, followed with the chorus of Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time. Tom looks at you with loving eyes and a cheeky smile.

   "I know! It's nice to get away from the craze of life, isn't it?" he shouts back. You nod your head in agreeance.

    You glance out the windshield and scream. "TOM LOOK OUT!"

    But it was too late, and the two of you smash into the black car in front of you. And everything dissolved into inky darkness.

~~~Time Skip~~~
   You woke up to the sound of a heart monitor's beep. You turn your head towards light snores that ring in your right ear. Tom is resting next to you, his soft hair spilling on your thigh. You run your fingers through the familiar softness of his hair. His head nudges and then lifts looking at you and the cradles you in a hug.
   "You're okay, you're okay, you're okay," he whispers to himself.
   "I know, Tom," you laugh. "How long has it been?"
   "Just two days, but the longest two days of my life."
   "It's okay, Tom. We were just being stupid high schoolers, right? We live, we laugh and sometimes get a little bruised. But everything's alright now."
   "I know. But once you're out of here, we should finish our trip," he winks at me.
   "You bet your ass we will."
