-Riley (Saturday)-
"Aw come on R!" James shouts, flipping a dishcloth over his shoulder. "You would kiss Gandalf?"
"Okay, stop." I hold my hand our, scooting past him to the counter. "When you give me Indiana Jones, Gandalf and Charles Xavier to kiss, fuck and marry I'm obviously going to pick Gandalf to kiss!"
"What?!" Raphael hops over the counter to join me, shooting a smile to some girl in the corner of the diner. I notice a faint blush settling across his cheeks and shoot a glance across to James who wriggles his eyebrows at me.
"Okay, for the second time: Gandalf kiss, Xavier fuck and Indiana marry!"
"Xavier is bald!" Raphael groans. James laughs loudly, shaking his head.
"Not when he was young! I'd do him in his younger years!" I insist, grabbing the order book and heading into the back. "Think James McAvoy."
Raphael snorts. The door bell rings again, my eyes practically going back into my head. We're still ridiculously busy and I can't wait for this load of people to leave town.
I throw some things into the back, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I reach up, touching the small stone around my neck. The necklace from Luke. I found it this morning and it matched my top-and I thought, why the hell not? It's cute and it's hardly like he'll ever catch me wearing it.
"Can you get that table that just came in?" James leans over the counter, throwing me a grin.
"And you're currently doing...?" My eyes dart to a girl approaching the counter to pay. The same one from earlier. "Is that his-?"
"Yep." Raphael confirms at the same time James says "No!"
I laugh, grabbing my order book. "She's a real cutie."
I squeeze past him, smiling at the girl. She seems nervous, returning a very small one as she finally reaches the counter.
I bump my thigh off one of the tables, the metal hitting my skin. Wrong night to wear shorts- there's a cool breeze settling in the air tonight and I have to walk home.
I'm barely looking at the table I'm about to serve, grabbing my pad from my shorts.
"Hi can I take your drink order?" I say, feeling their eyes on me. I glance up and my stomach drops, spotting an all too familiar face.
Ashley. Again, ugh.
My eyes go to the girl on her right, smiling at me. She obviously has no idea who I am, or how I know Ashley. Skye is also here.
"Can I get a Diet Coke?" She asks, smiling. I nod, my hand shaking a little.
"Same for me." Ashley and Skye both say, Ashley's eyes lowered as if she's nervous. I can't believe of all the goddamn restaurants this city and she turns up here with them.
"Can I just get a water?" The male voice speaks up finally and my head jerks towards him. I almost drop the stupid pen just then, trying to desperately stop my mouth from dropping.
He looks just as shocked to see me, his own face a little pale.
The last time I saw him flickers through my mind, his hands tightly woven into my shirt as he whispered goodbye. His smell overpowering, my eyes closed as I couldn't bear to see him leave. I suddenly feel like I'm going to throw up.
