Chapter 43: ultrasound

A few weeks later pap started his new job teaching students on how to use skeleton magic making bones and for now small gaster blasters. Meanwhile with Jordie it was time for another ultrasound to see how little kris was doing in her belly.

She decided to go by herself with pap at work and her sister back in Greenville 2 hours away and Lexi back in the hospital she only had herself to go with. Besides the bitties but they were fine staying home watching TV plus her grandparents had to watch hime. Going in the ultrasound place she waited in the waiting room for when her name would be called.

About 30 minutes later her name was called she got up going to the room with her regular nurse that helps her. 

"So you been doing okay Jordie?"

"Yeah my husband got a new job and the first little one is growing up quickly"

"aw that's good how old is she?"

"5 months now"

"wow that's good. You ready for the ultrasound?"

"yep lay the jelly on me and let's see how kris is doing"

The nurse giggles putting the gel on her stomach starting the ultrasound seeing the little baby on the screen. "there she is" the nurse moved around her stomach a bit seeing something else "now what is this?"

"what? what is it?!" jordie questioned thinking something might be wrong "is something wrong with her?"

"no nothing's wrong it's just that there's well if I'm reading it correct there's two of them"

Jordie starts to laugh thinking that it's a joke "good one but seriously is there something wrong?"

"No I mean it look at the screen" the nurse let's jordie see the monitor showing two babies Jordie gasped seeing it "no this has to be a mistake on my last ultrasound it only showed one baby"

the nurse shrugs "Well guess kris was covering up the other one. Have you've been extra tired or craving any more food in the last few weeks?" 

Jordie thinks "y-yeah I guess I have"

"hm must be the second one doing it to you" the nurse gives her some pills "take these pills if you feel sick" Jordie takes the pills "thank you ma'am" her nurse wiped her stomach to get the gel off. Jordie put her shirt down and walked back to her car getting in closing the door "well this is a new thing for me now" she rests her head back sighing "twins"

Someone then knocks on her window making her jump seeing the said person was the lady from when her and pap were ice skating Jordie rolled down the window "Hi ma'am nice to see you again"

"Nice to see you to sweetie is something wrong?"

"Yeah I just found out I have twins"

"oh have you and your husband in any sexual activity since the first one appeared?"

"No the nurse said that kris was covering up the second one what should I do?"

"How about you tell your husband about the second one"

Jordie nods "okay thank you ma'am" she rolled back up the window driving away back home as the women waved goodbye "my poor child..."
