The 71st Hunger Games
Chapter 3:
I open my eyes and find out I had fainted for about a minute. Peacekeepers help me up and guide me to the stage. Ablothia takes me to the middle of it, then she walks towards the boys side. " Alright, now for the boys." She says, her heels clicking as she crosses the stage. " Lazail Clints! " she calls. I recognise him. He is nice and kind. I see him every now and then and he compliments my axe skills. " Shake hands. " trills Ablothia. As we shake hands, my eyes lock on his, but he soon blushes and turns his head towards the ground. We are taken into two separate rooms to say goodbye to our loved ones. My mother and father run in and hug me. " Don't worry, I can win this. For you. " I sniff. We hug and talk and then a peacekeeper comes and says it's time to go. I say goodbye and the door shuts. I hear some shuffling and Enlina comes in. She hands me a small, plain bracelet and says goodbye and runs out the room. We get taken to the train station and get on the train. District 7 disappearing into the distance.
