Chapter 50
Phoebe's POV
When I woke up, Liam wasn't laying next to me. I decide to get up from the bed and search for him. I walk downstairs, nothing. I open every door in our, his, house, he's not there. I even go to the garage, his car is gone. He's left me. I don't know where to go, what to do. I run back upstairs and grab my sweatshirt and sprint outside. Maybe running will do me some good. The fresh air, the only thing that ever made me feel free. There were no birds flying today, weird. As I was running I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Everything was different and not like normal. The sky was gray, it looked like it was going to rain, I kept running. I passed many people looking at me with weird expressions. I didn't even know where I was running to. I had no place to go. Where could Liam be? NO PHOEBE GET HIM OUT OF YOUR MIND! I shake my head and almost fall as I try to forget. As I'm running I see something sparkling. The ring. I immediately stop. I admire the ring, knowing it's a symbol of my true love. That I've made it. I'm going to be okay. I have Liam, or I HAD Liam. I finally look up, and realize I'm in the very place I escaped from. Priscilla's Store. I need to get out of here before anyone remembers me.
Liam's POV
I realized I acted like a fool last night. I went out to try to clear my mind. I was walking in the park when I heard screams. There's no way it's phoebe. She was sleeping when I left home. I hear them again, this time muffled. I knew I shouldn't have come to this side of town. That reminds me of all that phoebe went through. I decide to go back home. The door is wide open, she's not there. Tears stream down my face as I realize the muffled screams were her.
