Our Little Secret

hello,  sorry this one took a while to update! Exams are keeping me busy and I've been absorbed by Fairy Tail hehe!

{Light's point of view }

I knew it. Ryuzaki has fallen in love with me, the fool. Everything is going exactly as I had planned. We arrived at Ground Floor together, he couldn't stop grinning, his black eyes had suddenly become brightened by my confession and he appeared to care little about anything else that would occur today.  I will admit, seeing him this happy does make my cheeks burn a little, afterall Kira is L's enemy, not Light Yagami. Light Yagami is Ryuzaki's only friend, so I suppose it makes me human to be contented by his ecstatic expression. 'Human'? No! I am the God of the New World! I mustn't allow him to give me these emotions, they will make me weak! They will hinder my abilities!

"Ryuzaki?.."

"Y-Yes... Light-kun?.." He is still grinning like an excited child at Christmas... I've got to play this carefully...

"Maybe you should tone down the happiness? We don't want anybody to find out about us just yet... If Misa knew then your plan to keep her here will be useless!  Besides, my father would never aprove and I don't want him to take you away from me... I need you Ryuzaki..."

His eyes burned even brighter than before, I must have said something that deepened his emotions without even realising it. Nevertheless, I must ensure that no matter how strongly he feels, he mustn't show it!

{L's point of view}

"Us, he said "us" and he needs me. I can't believe this is actually happening, but Light is right; if Misa finds out then I will be unable to keep her around and keep her under surveillance as second Kira. Besides, if my theory is correct she has the Shinigami eyes so can see my true name, Lawliet, and could easily write it in her Death Note to dispose of me. After all, everybody knows she'd do whatever it takes to be with Light. I can't help but smile as I look up to my new partner, to acknowledge and accept his request with a faint nod. We continue into the surveillance room, our headquarters, and sit ourselves down infront of the countless screens that hang amongst the wall. 

"Nothing new yet, Ryuzaki" calls Soichiro Yagami.

 "As I'd expected,  Cheif. Light and myself shall review these last suspect surveillance tapes and then I expect we will be done for the day.  You can all go home early if you wish to, we will have no need for you for the rest of the evening..."

If I can get them all to leave,  I'll be all alone with Light,  then I won't have to hide my feelings for him and we can discuss how to play things out to benefit the case as well as our own personal agendas.

They all thank me after some reassurance that they are truly not needed until tomorrow, (they lack trust in me due to number of tests I have performed on Light in accordance to the Kira case), then leave the building muttering amongst themselves. Finally, I have Light to myself. We remain silent until we are absolutely certain we are alone.

"About our little secret, Light?.."

"Yes, Ryuzaki?.."

"You are mine?.. and... I am yours?.."

"Yes, Ryuzaki." He sounded so definitive and certain, his confidence is so attractive, I can't help but yank on our handcuffs to force him onto my lap. The shock on his face was priceless, I giggled to myself at the thought of taking control of our situation. I grabbed a fistful of his hair and threw his head back to have a clearer view of his face. His bronze fringe remained swept across his eyes, I delicately brushed these strands of hair out of his face with the hand I had free, maintaining the grip I had on the back of his head. He looked so helpless but trusting at the same time, his confidence was fading but I could still sense it. I couldn't bare to hold him there, still, for any longer. I urged forwards and forced my lips onto his.

Sparks flew as our hidden emotions exploded from the passionate joining of our mouths. The rest of the room had disappeared, I could only see Light. We parted,  panting from the lack of oxygen in combination with excitement.  Light opened his eyes and jolted in shock after noticing mine had been watching him the whole time.  He gasped,  I panicked: was that too strange? He grinned,  I smiled back in relief.  I held him close to me, at this moment in time Light means more to me than catching Kira and id do anything to protect him and keep him here with me.

{Light's point of view }

I've never seen this side of Ryuzaki before,  he always seemed so reserved and submissive. I suppose I should let him have the upper hand this time,  he's not lying when he says he's stronger than he looks and right now I doubt he'd give up dominance without a fight. However,  I mustn't let him take control on a regular basis or I'll lose my edge and the plan will mean nothing.   His lips taste so sweet, as if they are composed of nothing but sugar and syrup...though what was I expecting from someone who's constantly searching for a new sugar rush. I allowed myself to fully embrace the moment and I guess o got a little carried away as I could feel my groin heating while the blood rushed south. I opened my eyes and parted myself from L. He was staring straight at me which caught me off guard.  After exchanging heart felt smiles I suggested late night snacks before retiring to the bedroom.

"I like that idea very much Light-Sama.."

Did he really just adress me as his master?  He releases me from his grasp and I slide off of his own heated lap. It's about time I regained control of this situation. I darted for the kitchen,  forcing my helpless partner to scramble behind me in an attempt to keep up. I made an abrupt stop after bursting through the kitchen doors and braced myself for Ryuzaki's rendezvous.  It didn't happen exactly as id expected... I was greeted by L leaping onto my back and wrapping his legs around my waist. His arms secured my shoulders while his hands refused my eyes the gift of sight. 

"I know it's you Ryuzaki,  you're the only one I'm chained to!" I smirked.

I could feel his hot breath on the back of my neck,  his breathing rate increased every time I spoke. He's just like a child. I carry him to the counter and allow him to remain on my back while I divide a strawberry cheesecake into equal pieces,  separate two from the cake and placed them on to plates.  I then found some cream in the fridge to compliment our dessert. I grabbed two forks and proceeded upstairs with Ryuzaki still on my back and two plates of cake in my hands. 

Once we'd finally reached the bedroom I delicately placed the cake on a bedroom  counter before launching my back baggage onto the bed.  I heard the breath being forced from his lungs as he collided with the mattress. Maybe that was a little rough, not that it matters. We ate our cake in silence, but the lack of noise did not carry an ounce of awkwardness.  Once we'd finished,  I collected our mess and placed them back onto the table so that we could finally sleep.  I climbed into bed in the most ungracious manner as I tried to avoid tangling our chains and then with nothing more than a faint "Goodnight" and kiss on the forehead we spooned and fell asleep together. For the first time since we've been chained,  Ryuzaki actually slept.
