Chapter 12 - Warmth in the Snow

"Ian, are you ready?" Anthonycalled.

"Wait a minute!" Ian called back.

Anthony was back from New York and they were ready to leave for Melanies party. Ian was in his room wrapping Anthonys present.

"Hopefully this will show you I'm always here" Ian stuck the last corner.

"Ian, don't forget Melanies present!"

"Okay!" Ian grabbed Anthonys gift off his bedside table.

He walked over to the christmas tree and put Anthonys gift under it.

"Who's that for?" Anthony asked.

"Nobody" Ian smiled.

The pair got in the car and drove to Melanies house.

"Hi!" she grinned as Melanie opened the door.

"Hey" replied Anthony as he hugged her.

"Hello" said Ian as he kissed her and gave Melanie her gift.

"Aww thanks, yours is in my room, I'll give it to you when you leave - don't want the drunkies to find it and break it" she laughed.

"Thanks" Ian followed Anthony into the room of loud people.

Ian and Anthony were dancing next to each other, laughing and joking about together.

"Anthony and Ian should dance together!" someone shouted over the music.

Everyone agreed, they were all pretty drunk.

Ian turned to Melanie to look for permission, she laughed and nodded, "It'll be a laugh" she mouthed.

Ian turned back to Anthony, they were smiling at each other widely.

"Can I have this dance?" laughed Anthony as he bowed down.

"Why of course you may" chuckled Ian as he courtseyed.

Everyone was laughing at the duo. Anthony wrapped his arms around Ians waist and Ian put his arms on Anthonys shoulders. they began to sway with eachother. Everyone quietened down to hear what they were saying.

The pair was giggling like a bunch of school girls.

"It's a beautiful night tonight" said Ian.

"Not as beautiful as your blue eyes" Anthony pulled Ian closer.

They couldn't help but stop every now and again to laugh wth everyone else - even though they were enjoying it.

"Hi guys, sorry I'm late. What are you doing?" Kalel walked through the door.

Ian and Anthony let go of eachother, Ian felt sick, the same sickness he felt when watching the video of Anthony and Kalel.

"We were having a laugh" said Anthony.

"Oh, okay" Kalel smiled as she walked towards Anthony but as soon as Anthony wasn't looking and  everyone started dancing she gave Ian a dirty look.

"Ian? Are you okay? You look pale" said Melanie in a worried tone.

"I just feel sick. Would you mind if I went home?" Ian looked at Melanie.

"No, it's fine, you go home and get a good sleep" Melanie kissed Ian on his forehead.

"Thank you" Ian opened the door and left.

Anthony went over to Melanie, "Where's Ian going?"

"He felt ill so he's going home" said Melanie.

"Oh, I better go and look after him"

"Thanks Anthony"

"No problem, he's my best friend," Anthony left to find Ian, but little did he know Kalel was following him.

After a few minutes of walking through the cold snow, Anthony found Ian sitting on a bench in the park which wasn't too far from where they parked the car.

"I thought you were going home" said Anthony as he sat down next to Ian .

"I was... until I remembered you had the keys," Ian laughed a little, "you always seem to have the keys"

"It seems like it, doesn't it? Well we never seem to last long at parties either" Anthony chuckled then passed the keys to Ian, "It's cold out here" Anthony shivered.

Ian scooched closer to Anthony, "Better?"

"Not yet"

Ian wrapped an arm around Anthony, "Now?".

Anthony leaned his head on Ians shoulder, "Much better" he smiled.

There was a short silence.

"What's wrong?" Anthony asked.

"I just felt a little sick, but I feel a little better now," said Ian.

"Okay," Anthony sat up and looked Ian in the eyes, "now what's really wrong?" said Anthony.

Ian looked away, "Well, it's hard to explain," Ian looked back at Anthony and got caught in his eyes, "I don't think you'd understand me.

Anthony leaned in until there was the smallest gap between their lips, only big enough for a breath, 

"Try me," Anthony whispered and with that, he shut his eyes and closed the gap between them. Ian was shocked but closed his eyes and melted into the kiss, it was the warmth in the snow.

Kalel was watching, she saw the whole thing...

And she was planning revenge.
