After that whole confusing explanation and, for Barry personally, confusing moment with Leonard Snart, Sarah made way to bring him home to the correct time. She'd announced they'd needed some downtime anyways. When they'd landed in the present, the brunette said his goodbyes to the team and left for his apartment. Well, he checked into his comms to let everyone know he was okay first, but he really felt like some well-earned rest.

Of course, he should've known he wouldn't get it.

Honestly, Snart was only back a few hours and he was already robbing some place again. Well, maybe he was pressured into it by his sister, who seemed to be glaring at her brother the entire time, but that didn't change the point that Barry was kind of done with this week and he just wanted to crash and sleep.

He'd sped in to the little jewellery shop to Snart looking at his watch, not even looking up when addressing Barry.

"Ah Scarlet, nice of you to join the party." He said before looking up at Barry with a smirk. He spread his arms in a loose, rather casual movement, the cold gun still in his hand however.

"Snart," Barry acknowledged him rather tiredly. He didn't get the chance to say any more though, because the thief butted in.

"My my, at this point in our relationship you can call me Len, or at least Leonard." The words came out drawled, but Barry could see the smirk still playing on his lips.

Fuck.

Had Snart noticed he'd blushed out of more than just feeling awkward. Or was this some new, very stupid and very annoying tactic? Because if so, it was working. Barry felt his cheeks heat up. He could see that the ice-themed villain noticed.

"Relationship, huh? I don't think we ever went on a date," Barry retorted and oh god did he just say that. The spluttering on the other side of his comms was confirmation, but other than that it stayed quiet.

While Leonard Snart thought the kid had balls, Barry was just hiding his internal panic really well. And then the quiet of his comms broke too.

"Oh my god, is he flirting with Barry. Is Barry flirting back. Barry are you flirting back. This can't be happening." Cisco's voice came through the comms, a little softer than usual, so he was probably ranting to someone or pacing circles. Barry just felt like his face was on fire.

It was also that moment that Lisa decided to pop in again. A bag full of loot in her hand. Damn it, he let himself get distracted!

"Lenny, when you're done flirting with the enemy, let's go," she announced, jingling the bag of jewellery.

"Looks like I gotta go, see you later, Scarlet," Snart grinned before taking up the lead and getting his Rogues out of there, but not in time for Barry to snatch the bag of stolen jewellery out of Lisa's hands with his speed.

He handed it over to the police in a small stupor and sped away to STAR-labs before it would become anymore awkward. Though, maybe, he should've just gone home and have dropped off the suit later when no-one was there. Because well, funny feelings aside when it had happened, Cisco didn't agree with the flirting that had happened either.

"BARTHOLOMEW HENRY ALLEN! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Cisco yelled once he had arrived into the cortex and Barry flinched.

Banter?" he tried, knowing full well what had happened, but still not having processed it yet himself. What did he do to deserve this universe, honestly. He was a good guy, wasn't he?

"You flipping flirted with CAPTAIN COLD!" Cisco continued yelling.

Barry wanted to say that, A, he did not and B, Snart had started it. Luckily he realised that that would sound very immature and caught himself in time.

"Just drop it, I promise it won't happen again, okay," Barry sighed, but he could feel his cheeks heat up a little again thinking of it. He just hoped there wouldn't be a noticeable blush, or if there was, that it would be written off as embarrassment.

Besides that, Barry still didn't know what Snart's endgame had been with all that. To throw him off his game? To mess with him? Well, he'd succeeded then. But it couldn't be nothing more right? The guy was way older than him and his self acclaimed arch nemesis. Not that a big age gap would be a problem for Barry when dating someone- wait, why in the multiverse was he considering dating captain cold. Well, fuck. He was fucked.

"It better not," Cisco responded, snapping him out of his moral and slightly Bi-panic.

Barry just sighed and went to the training room. Anything to get his mind off of Leonard Snart
