Twenty Seven 》 Donghyuck

Hae Soo's POV:

"Well right now sounds good to me. The sooner we take her down, the better." I answered, earning an understanding nod from him. "Okay but before we start, can I talk to you in private for a moment Hae Soo?" Mark spoke seriously. I looked to Sicheng and back to Mark before nodding my head. I kissed Sicheng on the cheek before he let go of my hand and walked out of the room. I turned back to Mark, seeing an expected disappointed look on his face.

"What did you want to-" I started to ask before he cut me off. "Is he forcing you to date him? Be honest with me Hae Soo." He said angrily but cautiously, not wanting the people in the hallway including Sicheng to hear him. "No of course not. I legitimately have feelings for him Mark." I said, a little annoyed at how he always threw Sicheng down like that. Sicheng wasn't a bad person like Mark made him out to be.

He nodded his head as he thought of what to say next while he unclenched his fist. "Did you two actually have sex? You aren't just wanting me to help cover up the fact that you are really pregnant do you?" He said quickly. I grabbed his shoulder as I looked him in the eyes before answering his questions honestly. "Mark, calm down okay. We didn't have sex so I am not pregnant. Mi Na came up with all of this stuff just to ruin my life and she just happened to take Sicheng down too. He isn't like them though, you have to believe me." I said as he looked at me, searching for an answer.

"Okay, I believe you but I have one more question." He said hesitantly. I sighed before I let go of his shoulder and spoke again. "Yeah, what is it?" He began to pace around the room a little nervously before he asked his last question. "So since you said you two didn't do anything, that means that the story of how you two made out at that party isn't true either right?" He asked as I froze. "Well... actually that one is true but it was just a kiss... well many of them but still, nothing further happened that night." I said, making his jaw drop in shock.

"You okay Mark?" I asked, seeing that he was quite upset. "Yeah, it is whatever. Let's just hurry up and get this plan started. Call Sicheng back in here." He said, quickly recovering as he grabbed his seat and sat down, waiting for me to get Sicheng. I didn't say another word to Mark before I backed away and towards the door, opening it for Sicheng to come back in. "Sicheng, sweetie, come back in here please." I said softly as I reached my hand out towards him in which he responded quickly by grabbing it and walking into the room, shutting the door behind him.

"Alright so you want me to set up a wire?" Mark asked as Sicheng walked me to a seat, pulling the chair out for me. "Thank you Sichengie." I said as I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, earning a glare from Mark. "Yes, that would be helpful." Sicheng said as he glared back at Mark before sitting down next to me, never letting go of my hand. "Alright, I will help, but on one condition..." he began to say before I looked at him, confused as to what his conditions were. "My friend Donghyuck has to be allowed to help me with this project, he is the only one I trust." He said.

"Deal" I said quickly before Sicheng could answer. "Alright then let's get this started. I will send them home for the night." Mark said as he stood up from his seat and started walking towards the door. "Is Donghyuck in your little AV club?" I asked, not knowing who this person he had mentioned before was. "Yes, he is. He is the only one I am not sending home." He said as he opened the door and leaned his head out to talk to the other members of his club.

I watched as the members left except for one, which I now knew must have been Donghyuck. I waved at him in order to seem friendly, not wanting to scare him off because we needed all the help we could get. He waved back shyly as he walked into the room, followed by Mark as he shut the door behind him. Mark quickly explained the plan to Donghyuck as Sicheng and I waited in awkward silence. As they talked quietly in the corner of the room, I noticed that Sicheng kept glancing at me while biting his lip, making me move nervously in my seat. However, he stopped what he was doing quickly as Mark began to speak again while he walked over to the table with Donghyuck following closely behind him. "Alright so we are going to work on getting a wire but that is going to be a bit of a problem." Mark said as he looked down at the floor.

"What do you mean a problem?" I said as I looked at him, waiting for him to look back and explain what he had meant. He glanced at Donghyuck and back to me before saying his next words carefully and quietly, as if he was scared someone was listening in from beyond the walls. "The problem is that tech stuff is stored in the AV club room." He said as he sighed and put his hand to his head before he began pacing around the room. "What is so bad about that?" I said, confused as to how this seemed to be such bad news. He looked back at me before saying the words that made my heart drop. "The AV building is locked... which means... we have to break in."
