Chapter 2: Bluenette Goddess

         "Have you guys seen Supernatural?  It's a really good show." I'm trying to see if any of us have anything in common while on the bus.

    "I have, it is really good.  What about Arrow or Flash?"  Max says keeping up with the conversation. 

    "Duh, I love all of the DC shows, but hate the DC movies, Batman vs. Superman was a shitty movie I couldn't even finish it.  First movie I actually walked out on."

    "Same man, it was trash.  I prefer the Marvel movies or Planet of the Apes, more Planet of the Apes than anything."  Warren chimes in.

    "Old or new?" I ask squinting my eyes.

    "Old ones man, the best."  Warren says smiling.

     "They are steaming hot piles of garbage."  I say, Max snorts back a laugh as Warren looks at me. 

   "No man, they are really good." 

   "Nah bro, they are shit, well not shit, but I just don't like them.  Not my type of movies.  I prefer a classic like Bladerunner or The Matrix."  Warren just laughs but I can tell he's bothered. 

       "Jimmy are you ready for the best burger of your life? Joyce is an amazing cook.  You'll just love it man," Max says with a huge grin on her face, "I hope she isn't late, I want her to meet you, I have a feeling you two will click immediately," 

       "Let's go dudes I'm starving, I want a good bacon burger." Max drags me inside and Warren follows as we reach a booth in the back of the diner.

        "Seems cozy, I'm getting a good vibe from this place." I look around and see a jukebox and instantly want money to choose a song. "There isn't gonna be another girl is there?  I'm super shy around girls."

      Max snorts "that's the truth, but hey, it's a cute shy, not the creepy, I'm gonna lock you in a basement for eternity shy.  But yes, there's another girl coming, her name is Chloe and she's cool as hell.  She has the same taste in music that you do." 

    Max and Warren sit on one side of the booth, leaving me with an empty seat next to me.  "Why did you leave the empty seat next to me?! I'm shy as hell!"  Max and Warren both start laughing as the Waitress walks up to our table.

      I sit there and start sweating a bit.  She looks at Max and Warren and flashes me a smile.  I get the motherly vibe from her smile and it makes me feel more at home.

        "Hello Joyce, This is Jimmy.  He just started at Blackwell today and wanted a place to get some good food.  So we thought we'd bring him here."
           
      "Well hello, Jimmy.  My name is Joyce, and they did bring you to the right place.  What can I get you guys to drink?"  Joyce asks us. 

        "I'll take a Mt. Dew, and then whatever they want."  Max and Warren just order waters.  We get into a deep conversation about what Indiana was like before I moved, when Max looks outside and smiles. 

     "She's here." Max smiles and looks at the door.  I put my head down and just hope this blows by smooth and quick. 
    
      We were chilling in our booth drinking away our drinks, when the diner door was kicked open and everyone looked towards the noise, Max and Warren both snickered and Joyce yelled at the person standing there, I couldn't see them too well but Joyce was furious.  "Goddammit Chloe quit kicking the door like that, this isn't home, you know!!"
    
      "Chill out birthgiver I'm just here to chill with Max, is that such a crime?" I instantly retreat into my seat and keep my head down, I look up as she gets done talking to Joyce.  Her blue hair, her pale skin tone, her 3 bullet necklace, the white skull shirt, leather jacket, skinny jeans and converse all but make me exit my own body via Astral projection, but that's not how it works, I came back to reality to her hugging max and shaking Warrens hand and then looking at me.
  
     "So, your names Jimmy huh? Scootch yer bootch so I can sit down bro."  I did as the bluenette goddess asks and I can't help but to stare, she's so beautiful and yet I am so, well, me. Slightly chubby, untrimmed beard with an obsession of comics and the legend of Zelda.  She notices me staring and waves her hand, "Earth to Jimmy, what's with him?"
    
      "He's extremely shy, so don't judge too harshly Chloe, he's really sweet once he opens up,"
   
    Joyce comes over with our food. Max and Warren dig into their burgers and fries and I am still sitting there dumbfounded, I finally get up the courage to ask Chloe if she wants some of my fries.
     
      "If you want some of my fries, help yourself, I probably won't eat them all," she smirked at me and took me up on the offer,
   
      As I slowly come back to reality I start eating my burger and smile seeing how chloe ate most of my fries, I eat my burger and get the biggest grin in the world, "Hot damn this is the best burger I've ever had, sweet baby jesus on a scooter this is the bomb."  All of us bust up laughing and Chloe snorts which is the cutest thing I've ever heard. 
     
     "So you guys have any plans tonight? It's a Friday night and you dweebs need to have some fun, Max? Warren? You nerds need to come chill sometime"

   "Not this weekend Chloe, we have to study for our science project next week, sorry" 

    "I don't have anything planned, I just got here this afternoon and just need to fix my room up a bit, but after that I'm free all weekend,"  I look at Chloe and she smiles, and gets up and bows to me.

      "Ladies first," Chloe says, as she snort laughs again, I pay for my food and leave a tip for  Joyce, "Thanks Joyce, see you later." Chloe and I make our way outside and she points to her truck.  I follow her still a bit nervous, but not as nervous as I was to begin with.  "Where are we off to, Young Chloe what are the plans?"

       "Uhhh, we are gonna be Hella Badasses, first we go to your dorm, I help you unpack, we go smoke a bowl, you tell me your story, we hangout, any problems buttercup?"

     "No ma'am, no problems at all Ms. Price," I laugh and look at her, and she's hanging her head.

     "Damn Carswell, we got a lot to work on if you are to chill with the chill master of Hella proportions."

       We both laugh and get in her truck. She speeds off towards blackwell, and I look at her.  I just watch her hair flap in the wind, I can't help but to smile. "So, Avenged Sevenfold? They kick ass, nowhere near as awesome as Firewalk, but kick ass nonethless."  She breaks the silence.

     "I've seen A7X 12 times since 2005 Price. I loooove them.  Firewalk is okayish, but just barely okayish."  I crack a smile and laugh as Chloe gives me the death glare, but breaks and laughs too.

   "Well, here we are at Blackhell, god I'm so glad I got expelled, well let's go hook up your room,"  We get out of her truck and head off to my dorm, we walk up the stairs and creep down the hall, and see a light coming from Warrens room, I walk past and see him sitting at his desk playing Halo, I smirk and shake my head.  Chloe grabs my arm and pulls me back, I look at her and she smiles "Come on, Carswell, let's set your shit up, and make it hella lit!!" I take my key out of my pocket as we both reach my door and head inside.  I flip on the light switch, revealing suitcases that weren't there when I arrived.  Which means mom got the rest sent.
   
     "Welcome to my cozy little square of Blackwell, Chloe." I look around and pick up my handled suitace. I reach in and pull out my posters first.  Always the posters, I instruct Chloe to look in my backpack for tape. She finds the tape and hands it to me, I start putting up my posters.  First it's my Avenged Sevenfold posters, then it's my Legend of Zelda posters, and finally my Slipknot poster.  I have space for a couple more but left them back at my mom's house.

    "Damn Jimmy, you have good taste in music and games.  We should hangout more often." I sit on my bed and pull out my pillow and blankets and make my bed, with my Star Wars bedsheets of course! "God you are such a nerd, but a cute nerd, Carswell." I blush, and hide my face in my pillow. 

     "Jimmy, come on, don't be shy, we have a whole fun night planned. Come on!" She pulls the pillow away and lifts me up and pulls me out of my room. I flip the lights off and lock the door and turn around to Chloe being right there.  I smile and grab her hand as we both run out the doors of the dorm into the parking lot.  I pull out a cigarette and light it, Chloes eyes lit up and asked to bum one, I gave her one and light it for her, we both get in and drive towards the city. 

     I look over at Chloe and she's just driving, when she reaches a stop light I pull out a CD from my stash and pop it in, and when the drums kick in and the guitar riff comes on as Master of Puppets by Metallica plays. I look over and Chloe is next to me and she kisses me on the cheek. "Thank you for hanging out with me Jimmy, it means a lot. I've got a lot of shit going on and it's helping to have someone to hangout with I really appreciate it."  The light turns green and we start driving again. I am blushing more than I thought was possible and all I can manage was to say "you're welcome." I smile dumbly as we approach a junkyard. 

      "Well, we're here bud, welcome to my second home, now let's light up." Chloe leads me into the little makeshift house with a blanket for a door.
