Max runs ahead and opens the door for us to carry my stuff in. I carry my guitar, and Chloe has my statue and cards.

"Jimmy, leave your guitar down here, you can play some more later." Max closes the door after Grant walks in.

"Grant, who exactly are you? I mean I know your name and everything but who are you?"

"Well, my name is Grant, I am originally from Ontario, Canada. My dad's name is Paul and my mom's name is Heather. I like to smoke weed, and have a good time. I can't remember if I mentioned this but I am a great drummer." That peaks my interest.

"You are a drummer? Hell yeah! We need to jam. But first things first. Everyone up to Chloes room." They all look confused, but do as I do. When Grant is the last one through the door I close it and lock it. "Now, I hope you guys are ready for this, but I bought myself an early birthday present." I get a crooked smile as I pull a bong out of my backpack. A really really big bong.

"Holy shit, that is huge!" Chloe says outloud.

"That's what she said." I immediatley comeback with. Which I regret moments later as she smacks me in the back of the head. "Alright, since it's my birthday still, I want to smoke with my Girlfriend, best friend and new friend." I pack the bong and smoke half the bowl by myself.

"Jimmy, damn son." Grant smiles as I pass to him, I start coughing my brains out but have a great high. "Oh shit, this is some good stuff." I get up and turn Chloes speaker on and plug my phone into it. Sublime comes on and we all have a great time.

"All we need is alcohol and this would be a better day." I say and Chloe just looks at me.

"No babe, you've had enough alcohol in the past few days for 20 people. You need to slow it down."

"Yeah, I guess you are right." We hear the front door shut as Joyce gets home. Chloe scrambles to find her air freshener and stashes my bong in her closet. We all get up and I'm blazed out of my mind.

"Chloe? Are you guys up in your room?" We all hear Joyce yell.

"Yeah mom! We will be down in a minute." Chloe yells. We scramble down the stairs and see Joyce setting the kitchen up for dinner. I sit on the couch and pick my guitar up and just admire it.

"Chloe, you mind giving me a hand? This will go much quicker." Joyce calls into the living room as Chloe joins her. I smile and start playing a American Idiot by Green Day, one of my dad's favorite songs. I'm playing and singing as Grant starts drumming on his knees with his hands. He joins in on the chorus and sings with me. I smile and look at him as I keep going. I didn't even notice Chloe and Joyce looking at us from the kitchen.

"Mom, I've never seen him so happy. I mean, I know I make him happy but at the same time, he feels so alone. I'm so glad you had this idea mom."

"I know Chloe, he is super happy right now. Jimmy just needs a family more than ever and we are going to be his family, even David is warming up to him."

"I know, and that means a lot. I love him mom, I really really love him." I over heard the entire conversation, and smile.

"I love you too Chloe, and Joyce, thank you so very much for this party. I really really appreciate it." I get up and hug them both hard. "You guys are my family now, Max included." I look over my shoulder and see Max blushing.

"Alright, now let us get back to cooking. Food should be ready soon."

I get a text from Warren telling me to look on Facebook. I open the app and look as Nathan has made a post calling me out. "No.... not today." Max and Grant pull out there phones and look at what I see.
