Fight Like A Girl

CHAPTER SEVEN

Faint beating echoed in the darkness before muffled voices came in a rush, heavy thuds and bumps before a loud crash and some sound that resembled metal smashing into metal and something being hit by what sounded like one of Tony's hand reactors firing.

Silence,dead silence, followed. She felt like she was floating, suspended in mid air, she felt calm calmer then she had ever remembered feeling in her life. The silence wasn't deafening but instead calming and serene she felt as if her entire world for the first time in a long time was ok, like everything was gonna be ok.

Opening her eyes she saw nothing but blackness, turning her head side ways she was right when she had guessed she was suspended in mid air, she was wearing a dress of some sort that was extremely light and flowed around her like a calm breeze was steadily blowing, the fabric was the softest that Tayla had ever felt and the beautiful neon yellow was vibrant and iridescent. Slowly she was set on her feet and she stood a deep breath as she looked around her, now she was standing in what appeared like a magnificent garden full of lively flowers and plants that all swayed slightly in the cool calming breeze. Turning slowly, she discovered a large blinding white Neoclassical styled home upon a hill down from where she was at the beginning of the garden, stone steps were built into the hill up to the large house, taking a calming breath she felt herself relax at this familiar setting, a place she knew oh so well. Turning as the faint sound of footsteps were heard Tayla felt her entire being relax at the sight of a tall dirty blonde haired man with blue eyes and tan skin, he was shirtless and wore only sleep pants his hair ruffled from sleep as the early morning sun shined down on him.

"Tayla?" Zachery asked with confusion and concern as he visually looked her over.

"Zach." Tayla breathed out her heart rapidly beating but her body calm.

She wrapped her arms around him as she suddenly found herself tightly in his strong chiseled arms her head resting against his shoulder. She smiled, he was holding her just like he used to when they were kids.

Pulling back her pushed her curls back from her face as they cascaded around her running down to her lower back.

"Did you loose your grip?" He asked she only nodded causing him to sigh "I felt the struggle so intently I projected it causing Farrah to wake up she demanded I dive in and find you, which I had already planned to." He smirked causing her to chuckle.

"I love Farrah." Tayla smiled causing him to glare playfully "More then me?"

She looked at him seriously before smiling softly "I don't love anyone more then my best friend."

Zachery's smirk became a soft charming grin as he unconsciously patted her curls down again "My wild girl."

The pair held one another before a sudden breeze rushed over them causing them to separate and look around as the clouds greyed slightly and the wind shifted as if to warn them.

"Your friends are in a bit of a situation it seems. They need you back." Zach looked at the sky was if seeing all the answers to the world before looking back down to face her.

"You feel it too don't you?" Tayla whispered causing Zach to tighten his grip slightly and nod.

"Danger like nothing we've faced before is on the horizon." He began "Something we may not be able to defeat. You still have so much ahead of you yet to come that's gonna test you in ways I wished you didn't have to be, in ways I'd give anything to change for you."

Tayla looked at his blue eyes closely seeing truth and knowing in his wise gaze "What aren't you telling me Zach?"

He simply smiled sadly at her "I can't say, but your journey is had just begun and darkness has it's sight on you but Ive got faith that you'll succeed, you're the strongest person I know." He leaned forward and placed a soft kiss directly between her eyes "Your reward for succeeding will be your salvation, something that will heal your soul in ways you never knew you needed."
