Washington DC, 2014.

After resting for the rest of the day in relative silence around one another not really knowing what there was to say after the video message that Tayla had received. Tayla kept to herself, sitting in the room Sam had given her for the time they were there at his house, she found herself sitting in the center of the bed with the lap top on the bed going through the countless documents that had been uploaded once she had plugged the hard drive in. Her Godmother left no stone unturned giving her blue prints for the Helicarriers to be used in Project Insight and any notes that had been made about the project that she could get her hands on. There wasn't a lot to go by since Peggy hadn't been a member of SHIELD for some time but what she did have was very thorough information.

Tayla also discovered an uploaded electronic journal that her Godmother had written and a Notepad that all were filled to the brim with notes and entries made by the renowned Agent Carter as far back as the 40s.

The yellow eyed woman found a note about the Infinity Gems that she marked to especially come back to later along with several things here and there that she all moved to a secure and encrypted folder that had to have an entirely different passcode and security protocol in order to get into then her computer it's self did. It was about 2:30 in the morning when a light knock from her open doorway drew her attention up causing her macho brown hair which was currently a mess of curls to fall out of her way revealing her face.

Steve stood wide awake in the doorway, he was wearing a pair of sweat pants and a white tank top. His face calm and his eyes were soft.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

Tayla swallowed hard, she knew he would have questions she knew he would want to talk to her.
She just hoped he didn't feel as if she had lied to him, for fuck sake she hadn't even told him her real name.
A name she hadn't heard since she joined the Special Forces. Army Green Berets didn't exactly use their real name son a daily basis.

She gestured for him to come in which he did closing the door behind him with a soft click, he walked over sitting at the edge of her bed facing towards the direction of the window to the left so he could gather his thought but still look at her fully.

"My parents named me after you and Mama Mags, Peggy, my mother thought it was something special to do. She had always idolized Peggy as Agent Carter so she thought it fit especially when she learned the truth about what you meant to my father's family." Tayla started her words barely a whisper but Steve heard every word " Margaret Stephanie, Stephanie being the female version of Steven and Margaret being Mama Mags' first name it had a ring to it and Eliza liked it with Dugan. I haven't used it since I joined the Army."

Steve nodded in understanding gesturing for her to carry on which she did after a deep breath.

"My father wasnt exactly a nice man, he had many rules but one you couldn't forget because if you did there would be no mercy shown in his punishment... There would be no crying for his children... If you cried he would fly into a rage so lethal you had no chance of surviving.. I cried three times growing up my entire childhood all of which he caught, that he punished me for. The first I was seven and I accidentally broke Mama Mags' vase I was so upset and so guilty I couldn't stop crying and apologizing, she didn't care about the vase as long as I didn't get hurt and I didn't I was just upset but my father came around the corner with my Grandpa and his face went blank... We got home and he hadn't cut the car off when pulled in the driveway when he ripped the door off of the hinges and ripped me from my seatbelt, he stormed into the house with me thrown over his shoulders and as soon as he crossed the threshold he slammed me down onto the hard flooring like I was nothing to him."
