Waking up in a hospital bed was the last thing that Tayla had expected, her head was pounding something fierce and she felt nauseous to the point she almost considered if she had a concussion but didn't remember receiving any damage to her head. She couldn't hear a thing out of her left ear which made her feel extremely dizzy and off kilter.

What the hell happened to her?

Slowly turning her head side ways she saw Steve sitting in a chair by her bed with his head thrown back sound asleep with his mouth open. Tayla reached out and grabbed his hand that had been resting on the rail of the hospital bed which ended up jerking him awake, he jolted looking around frantically before he stared wide eyed at her before she could speak he was up and running off coming back with a very pretty dark skinned lady wearing a doctor's coat with a name tag that read 'Dr.Malcolm'

Tayla learned her left ear drum was completely blown to shit but there didn't appear to be any permanent damage and thanks to her accelerated healing factor was already working on repairing it, she also discovered she had major bruising on the same side of her head and face which lead the Doctor to explain she believed that Tayla had suffered some serious electric charged damage to the memory side of her brain which showed up in X-Rays but none of it appeared to have affected Tayla in the slightest. After the Doctor left Tayla and Steve alone the silence was maddening.

"What the hell happened out there Tay?" Steve asked his voice shrouded in worry and tinted with fear.

Tayla shook her head slightly "I have no idea... I tried to read the shooter but I couldn't get anything. It was so bizarre because normally I get something even if it's only a few things but with him I got nothing." She took a deep breath "We started fighting and we were so matched it was ridiculous his skills were uncanny and fierce and almost animalistic in nature, some how we stopped and gazed at each and it was like everything hit me out of no where.

I saw images Steve, I never see actual images the information normally just pops up in my brain as knowledge. I saw the number 40 flash in my eyes and then I was blinded by an intense snowy landscape and heard a scream of pure undiluted agony ringing in my ears so loudly I felt my ear drum burst."

Steve was utterly confused. What did this all mean? What was happening to Tayla? What did this mysterious Assassin have to do with any of this?

"There's something you should know."

Tayla took a shuddering breath "Fury died."

Steve nodded and Tayla looked away. Her mind was fuzzy and her head hurt something horrific, how could this be real?
Why did she feel like she was missing something?
Why did she feel like she was missing everything?

Tayla demanded to be let go from the hospital against Steve's wishes for her to rest, her argument was she could rest at home.

He heaved violently his body expelling the harsh bitter tasting stomach acid from the very bottom of his stomach, his head hurt so badly he was dizzy and he couldn't stop shivering. He was absolutely freezing and could never recall being this cold in his entire existence. The same rush of a snowy mountain landscape flashed before his eyes followed by that same terrifying feeling of falling with nothing but death below him, a scream echoed through the air as his gaze stared up at a man he could barely make out as he held on to a quickly moving train. The Soldier's eyes rolled back into his head and he began to seize up on the floor. His muscles locked, his bodily temperature sky rocketed, images moving so fast before his eyes he couldn't make out exactly what was what due to them moving so quickly but one imagery stayed with him.
