Part Two - Chapter One

Washington D.C, 2014 - 2years later.

The last two years had been busy to say the least, within this time Tayla and Steve had become as thick as thieves meaning you never saw one without the other and every bad guy for miles knew that in today's world there was nothing more dangerous then The Yellow Wolf and Captain America being sent to kick their asses, countless missions all over the globe had mainly Steve and Tayla traveling far and wide taking care of bad guys for SHIELD left and right when after a year of this Fury re-assigned Steve and Tayla to Washington as their home base which lead to the duo buying a nice homey little two bedroom apartment that with Tayla's decorating skills easily felt like home to Steve, but if you asked him he'd say that where ever the yellow eyed woman was made that place home to him. Their relationship was still strictly one of family and  resembled daughter and father more then anything much to the amusement but understanding of their teammates and fellow agents alike

Steve had spent time with all the former Howling Commandos who were still alive including Tayla's Grandfather Dum Dum Dugan who Steve had been incredibly shocked to see the old man still fit as a fiddle and still extremely capable and strong, Steve learned Dum Dum had been taking the Infinity Serum which greatly slowed his aging and helped keep him in shape but wore off fairly quickly so he had to take it several times a year regardless the man looked like he wasn't any older then his early fifties at the most. The Captain also had worked up the courage to visit Peggy Carter who he discovered had also taken the Infinity Serum and appeared to be a woman in her fifties instead of closer to a hundred, she lived with her only Grandchild a young man 4 years younger then Tayla who was named Joshua Hayden in her family's home in the country side of England. Peggy married a man named David Hayden and they had a single child a son who they named William who was Joshua's father. Joshua was a good man who was rough around the edges but had a good heart and adored his Grandma more then life it's self which instantly made him ok in Steve's book. He took care of her here and there and lived at home with her, he also happened to be an Emergency Medicine Physician who had graduated high school at 14, pre-med at 18, and med school at 22.

It was an early weekday morning when
Steve awoke to a brief nightmare he forgot as soon as he woke up fully, he exited his room and noticed Tayla's door cracked he peaked in to see her gone and made his way to their kitchen. He smelt coffee and saw the pot nearly full and still on and a piece of paper on the counter, he flickered over the note and smirked before shaking his head. Tayla had gone for an early morning workout and informed Steve his breakfast was in the oven and the coffee was in the pot. He wished she didn't do so much for him but trying to get her to stop taking care of him was about like trying to convince him to stop doing so much for her, it just wasn't gonna happen.

Pulling the oven open Steve gawked at the nearly overflowing plate, six fried eggs, two pieces of cheese toasts, two pieces of buttered toasts, six pattie sausages, twelve pieces of bacon and another plate with six large pancakes on it. He wouldn't complain too much in regards to the food for the simple fact he lived for Tayla's cooking. Any excuse to eat he was firmly pre-paired to chow down on the master chef's cooking that was so good it would make him see stars, literally.

After scarffing down his meal he changed into his running gear and off he went. He had been running for about a hour when he stopped and took a small walk while catching his breath, huffing he bolted taking off at a dead sprint when he came across a familiar face running lightly beside him. He smirked as he sped past "On your left."

Sam Wilson nodded in acknowledgement but didn't speak the first time, it wasn't untill his fifth time of hearing "On your left." That he finally took off as fast he could before stumbling to a stop realizing he was an idiot for even attempting that so he sat down beneath a shade tree and steady his breathing.
