Ch.4
BENEDICT MOORE
I actually had a friend now. I could hardly believe it. I remembered everything from this morning. Zephyr wasn't a cold person everyone made her out to be. Well at least it didn't seem like it.
She had left soon after we talked and now it was six. I had gotten ready in the boys locker room. Now I had on a black suit but just to be me I had on my black vans.
Now I was waiting for my parents to come by and pick me up. We were all supposed to go this Galla where all these rich people show up, drink wine and champagne And talk about money. I am dragged along because I'm my father's heir. I'm to take over the family business of hotels. But I don't want to do that. So ultimately I would give it to our closest cousin and be rid if the burden.
Until then I had to go to these stupid festivities. Once my parents picked me up we drove to the party.
The house was big the same side as ours except this one resembled the White House mine looked more like a house of the 1800.
The house was lit up by lights there were valet cars and hundreds of couples walking into the house. I groaned to my self following my parents.
My mom had blond hair and brown eyes that matched my own. She was small and dainty and wore a beautiful blue dress and a shaw. She also more some black shoes.
My dad had my brown hair and was wearing a suit like mine except on his feet were black ahead dress shoes.
" alright son we know you hate these things but at least smile we promise to let you do what ever you want tomorrow." He bantered but smiling kindly. My mother smiled at me then attempted to fix my hair.
"You are truly handsome Benny remember that. We love you." She said placing a kiss on my fore head which I had to bend down force cause she was a couple feet shorter than me.
"Love you too guys." I said. I loved my parents, they were so sweet and hard working. They've always worked hard to make me happy but just them being my parents was enough.
"Ok I could kill for a Johnny Walker right about now." My mom teased and I laughed.
"I guess I'm driving?" I asked and they looked at me like I was dumb.
"Well we did have you for a reason son." My dad said then laughed. I rolled my eyes at their crazy antics and followed them around. They let me go and get something to drink.
My mom loves her scotch, dad likes vodka me I like bourbon. I went to the bar and ordered the three drinks and pointed to my parents. The man glared at me then nodded.
I frowned at his reaction then walked away to rejoin my parents. I don't listen to the conversation and thought about Zephyr. I couldn't get her out of my head.
I've never been this attracted to a person as I am with her. She's like a puzzle I can't solve. If I think about it I've never really liked a girl, I always thought something was wrong with me because of that I even thought I was gay. I'm not I promise. Not that being gay is bad it's not! I just don't think about boys in that sense.
But today when zephyr started fighting I felt it. Something in me stirred and my heart squeezed. And I know I'm getting all mushy but still.
"Your drinks sir." I turned to see a different waiter with a sat on his fire head. He had a tray of our drinks. My mom took her Scotch dad took his vodka on the rocks and I got my bourbon.
"Thank you." I said stunned by the hatred u saw in his eyes. The man nodded then left. I took a sip of my drink. I relished the feel of the burn as it went down my throat. From the corner of my eye I saw the two waiters and one new one talking amongst themselves. They were watching us and they pointed. I frowned then casually moved my parents to another room.
