It is 5:15 in the morning and for the first time I'm not pissed for being up this early. I'm actually bursting with glee... Something is wrong with me, I just said bursting with glee. Today is the day Angel, Nigel, Kristen, Luke, Trent and I leave for Providence. This is the day we start our college experience. What better way to do that than with your closest friends.
I got up out of my bed and trudged over to my bathroom. Right now I must look like a hot mess. Scratch that. I took a look in the mirror and hot mess is a big understatement. I am a terrible sleeper. My bed head look worse than a cave woman's. Well we're going to fix that. I took a nice soothing shower, and wash my hair in the process. I wrapped myself in my towel and got to work. Half an hour later my hair was dried, straightened and pulled into a ponytail. My fashion is kind of mixed. Am an edgy yet girly girl. To prove my point am wearing a white sleeveless fit and flare dress, with black combat boots and my favorite leather jacket.
Makeup is kind of foreign to me. I own it but majority is left untouched unless Angel or Kristen is forcing it on me. Going natural is my thing but I add mascara, and did simple wing eyeliner and some lip-gloss. It is now 6:45. My stuff are packed and downstairs already. I just carried 3 suitcases because I plan on going shopping. One last look around my room and I was out heading for the stairs.
"Good morning," I greeted my parents as I enter the kitchen. Dad was holding mom as she was tearing up. "Mom are you okay? Something wrong?" She shake her head in reply.
"No. It is just that, my little girl is growing up and off to college." Now am tearing up. Good thing my mascara is waterproof.
"I will always be your little girl. It is just college." Am trying my best to comfort her and stop the waterworks.
"Good to know that you know that you will always be our little girl. Now let's get you something to eat before you leave." Dad says as I pull away from my mom's embrace and sat down.
Breakfast was delicious as always. Scrambled eggs, pancake, sausage, bacon and some orange juice to wash it all down. Am stuffed as a turkey on Thanksgiving and my family really stuff that turkey.
I think Trent or Luke is going to have to carry me to Nigel's jet. We were meeting him at the airport. A car was arranged to pick us up. It supposed to arrive any minute now. Yup. It is here I can hear Kristen and Angel screaming.
"Mom can you tell Trent or Luke to come inside and pick me up." I wasn't kidding.
"Are you that stuffed?" my mom asked acting surprised while gasping. I rolled my eyes and nodded. At least she went and fetch one of them.
"Did Sienna eat too much again?" Oh great the voice that came from behind was Luke's. This isn't the first this has happened.
"Shut up and pick me up." He sure knows how to push my buttons. At least he did as told and picked me up bridal style.
Luke picked me up with ease. Well he was a football player and he was ripped, not to mention cute. He was a lady killer back in high school and his ego was larger than life. Anyway he is nice once you get to know him.
"Remind me why am carrying you. After you snapped at me." Typical Luke.
"Because you love me." I replied cheekily but he looked down on me questioningly. "Fine. You can drive my R8 first." I sound like a child who lost a fight to their mom about candy.
"You know I do, but thanks for the offer." My jaws dropped. He played me. I crossed my arm and shot him a death glare at his smirking face.
"You win this round."
I said bye to my parents and gave them each a kiss before Luke carried me outside. It was a beautiful morning. However, it was disrupted by ear splitting screams from Angel and Kristen.
