The mall. It is a place where girls get wild with a credit card. A place where teenagers hang. Overall it is always packed. This mall is no different. We pulled up and people were staring at our cars. Could you blame them? They were not only expensive but really hard to miss.
The stare down continued when we made our exits. You could feel the jealousy of the girls rolling off in waves. I mean tany girl with eyes will notice the guys, they were basically Abercrombie and Fitch and Calvin Klein model worthy. Seeing girls next to the model like boys would strike some serious jealousy rage translated through glares aimed to maim and kill. The guys were just checking out us and the cars not even bothering to spare male species of our group.
The guys seem to notice the girls' glares at us. You could see the mischief on their faces. What they did next made matters worse for us. They pulled us into them, as a way to tell everyone we were with them. I want to kill them for doing that, although I know Kristen is not complaining. I looked over at her, no complaint at all. The girl is sporting a huge smile, and I think I might need glasses to shield my eyes from the bright smile she was sporting. If looks could kill, Kristen, Angel and I would be dead and buried six months ago.
We just blocked them out as we made our way inside. Personally, I did not care for the glares because I knew I was not dating any of them. So the girls can look all they want, they were only giving themselves wrinkles. I on the other hand was happy without them.
"If you need us we will be getting some movies, video games and suit shopping" Luke says the last part so fast we barely caught before they went off.
"How cute you guys are going suit shopping make sure to get a mask too." Angel yells at their retreating figure causing people to look. The boys turned and shot her death glares. She just laugh as we went our separate ways. Angel knew all three guys the longest, practically since they were in diapers. They treated her like a little sister but I think she is older than the twins by a month. Nigel was older than her by two months. It's even funnier how they were all late spring and early summer babies.
"Come on we have shopping to do." Kristen exclaims gripping us tightly making me wince. She loosened her grip once she saw our face and continue pulling.
3 hours, 15 stores and nothing. That's a lie we bought a lot of clothes but not for the ball. This is the last store before I call it a day. If we don't get a dress well we are going to have a major problem. I hope our dresses are in this place. I don't want to come back here for a while.
"Ok girls let's hope the one is in here." Angel gave us the pep talk and we nod in agreement as we entered the store. We entered the stores with serious faces on as if we were ready for battle or a tournament.
I split from the group as I scan the racks. Am thinking a nice black dress would do me good or maybe go red. Whichever looks best am going for it. The racks were pretty depressing. All the dresses looked too common.
My head is starting to hurt. Giving up is not an option any more. Right now am not even looking just walking through the aisles. That's when it hit me. Literally hit me. It was the perfect dress. It was a sleevless red number with a an open back and a dangerously and very risky high split up my left leg, I looked at the tag, and it is in my size. I'd call that fate.
