My decision was final. Tonight I will finally tell Josh that I'm ready to give him a second chance. It took some really long thinking but everyone deserves a second chance. Plus, he did explain himself.
I wouldn't have reached my decisions also without my friends' support. None of them openly opposed to my decisions so I took it as my final push. This was really nerve racking.
What exactly do you wear to tell the boy that you're ready to restart your relationship? My room looked like the department store threw up all over it. The urge to ask Angel was huge but I couldn't. She was busy studying and I didn't want to be a burden and Kristen went on a date with Trent.
I don't care anymore. I looked at the loose ombre sweater dress I had pulled on, my black ankle booties and my black wide rim fedora. This will have to do.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Now knock on his door before you change your mind.
"Hey Sienna what brings you here?" Xander answered the door. This is awkward.
"Ummm. Is Josh here? If he isn't it is okay. Sorry to be a bother." I said that so quickly while trying to flee the scene. Xander's laugh cut off my get away plan.
"Sienna you didn't let me answer." Oh crap I didn't. I mentally slapped myself. I'm so stupid. "He is in his room. Come on in."
"Thank you." I was so consumed in my nervous state that I almost didn't see the girl sitting in the room. "Where are my manners? Hello, I'm Sienna."
The girl stared at me and my outstretched. My hand slowly made its way back to my side. This was awkward. "Well it was... nice... meeting... you."
I scurried off to josh's room not wasting anymore time and saving myself from the unnecessary awkwardness. She was quite rude though. Hopefully Xander isn't dating her.
Knocking twice on Josh's door I wait for him to give me the go ahead before walking into his room.
"Hey. I hope I'm not being an inconvenience to you at the moment." My hands fiddled as swung back and forth on the balls of my feet.
"Of course not. You can sit. Fortunately for you my furniture doesn't bite." The air between us lightened a little bit as I took a seat on his bed. "So what brings you over."
He stared at me intently waiting for my reply. No chickening out. You can do this S.
"Well I came over to settle things between us." I couldn't look him in the face, so I took the opportunity to observe his room.
"Well? What was your decision?" I must've spaced out a bit for him to ask me that.
"Yes to a second chance... of us." The smile that spread across his face was really a sight to see. He got up from his seat enveloping me in a warm hug.
"You have no idea how happy you've made me Sienna."
"Usually when a girl says yes to being a boy's girlfriend he usually goes in for a kiss." He gave me a sly look before sealing our new union with a kiss.
...
"Angel! Angel!"
"Stop yelling. My head hurts so bad from all that studying I don't need your voice adding to my suffering."
"I did it I told Josh that I would be his girlfriend."
"Yay!" That sound so unconvincing. It was like she wasn't happy for me.
"Are you not happy for me?" She was my best friend and I expected her to share in my joy just like how I would share hers.
"Of course I am. I'm just a bit sceptical about him. If he makes you happy then I'm happy for you. Always." I know it would be hard for her to accept my decision. She saw how I was after he broke my heart the first time. "Just be careful and don't rush into things."
"Understood."
"I just remembered I have to deal with something see you later." That was a bit out of the blue but I didn't bother to question her as she hurried out the room.
The day went by very uneventful. Kristen didn't bother to come back to the room after her date as she had class. Angel disappeared to deal with whatever. Luke and Trent were at football practice. Josh had back to back classes.
I think I should really get a hobby. Most days I was free because I had taken mostly morning classes. You know what that's exactly what I'm going to do. Grabbing my keys and purse I left our room.
Time to go hobby searching. There are tons of programs I could join. The day was beautiful. Students scattered all over the campus. Sometimes I can't believe that I've actually made it to college. I've dreamt about the day I would finally be living the college experience.
The culture and diversity around the campus amazed me. I took my time walking so I could appreciate everything around me. Where to begin? I could go to the Model United Nations but I was a part of it for years and I really want to try something new. The debate Club? No way I went to a meeting in high school and it was the most boring hour ever.
Squash? I guess that could work. I used to love playing it but then with all the school stuff, I had unofficially stopped playing. I walked into the building that hosted the squash courts.
Inside was so state of the art. Most of the courts were occupied with persons playing. Mainly males who looked pretty good playing. I know I shouldn't be thinking like this about guys since I started dating Josh again but you can't really blame me. They were really hot.
In my peripheral vision I saw something that caught my attention. I wasn't sure what it was but I was going to find out. Walking in the direction I realized what it was. Playing shirtless against some other guy was none other than Nigel Knight.
This came as a shock to me. He never mentioned that he played squash. The muscles on Nigel rippled as he played. His dark hair was sticking to his skin from all the sweat. Nigel was the ultimate male. Tall, well sculpted, mesmerizing blue eyes and a smile that could light up the whole room. Let's not forget his French accent.
His mom was French and he spent most of his holidays in France with his mom's side of the family. However, we are just friends.
I don't know how long I spent admiring him, but the next thing I knew was that he was walking over to me in all his sweaty glory.
"Hey." His words were so carefree while I'm here trying to pull myself together as I've just being caught watching him. "What are you doing here?"
"I was looking for a hobby and I thought I would pick up squash." I said face to abs. What a glorious pack of eight. "I didn't know you play. Why didn't you tell me?"
"It never really occurred to me, I guess." Snap out of it. You're dating... Josh. Right I'm dating Josh. "We should play together sometime."
Finally, I built enough needed will power to pull my eyes away from his abs to look him in the face. "We should. I would say now but you look tired."
"I'm never tired when it comes to you Sienna." That sounded like it had a double meaning. I wasn't going to read too much into it because I may still be a little frazzled to be overthinking things.
"Good thing I have my runners in my bag and that I had on a sports bra and shorts under this dress. He shakes his head at me clearly amused but I didn't miss the little glints of emotion that flashed through his eyes.
I took off my hat and dress leaving me in my sports bra and shorts. Finally, I switched my shoes and grabbed a racket and goggles before joining him on the court.
"You never cease to amaze me." Nigel said upon my entrance. I just smiled at him and yelled game on.
