Sunshine: Moxiety (Virgil x Patton)

Have I ever really written angst? Idk, but here's some.

TW: Angst, 2 major character deaths.

Patton and Virgil had been in a commited relationship for a few months now. And with Virgil that includes lots of cuddles and comforting, luckily Patton was ready to supply both at every bend.

There had been many occasion where Patton would hold the panicking Virgil and sing you are my sunshine to him as he calmed. But this time, this time something was different. Patton had recived a stab wound while out from an unknown person, and it was Virgil's turn to be comforting.

- PATTON'S POV -

I staggered through the door, my boyfriend running over to me. "Oh my god! Pat what happened?!?" Virgil said noticing the blood on my shirt.

"I was stabbed." I sputter out, falling to the ground. "God, it hurts!" I said through gritted teeth. Virgil pulled me into his lap.

"P-Patton, it's y-your heart. . .there is no way to save you!" Virgil said looking at the wound in tears.

I reached up weakly and wiped them away, "Don't cry, my love. Just, just let me stay in your arms until I die." I mumbled, I could feel my body getting heavier and I was growing tired.

Virgil was bawling. "I don't want to lose you. I-I love you, Patton." He cried.

"I love you too, Virgil." I murmered. That's when I noticed, Virgil had started singing.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy, when skies are grey, You'll never know dear how much I love you." Virgil sang between sobs. I started fading from consciousness. "Please don't take my sunshine away."

- THIRD PERSON POV -

Virgil saw the light fade from his Lovers eyes, Patton had died. Virgil wailed. Roman and Logan had been there for a while and saw the whole thing. It was easy to see a tear roll down Logan's cheek.

Virgil clutched Patton's body as close as he possibly could, never wanting to let go. Logan sighed sadly and walked over placing a hand on the crying Virgil's shoulder. Logan kneeled down and gently closed Patton's eyelids.

A few months passed, they had buried Patton. No one dared to utter the excited traits name anymore except when they were alone at night and crying. It was such a night that Virgil was crying that he decided to finish his song.

"The other night when I was sleeping.
I dreamt I held you in my arms.
But when I woke up, I was mistaken, so I held my head down and cried." Virgil woefully sang.

Virgil felt warm arms wrap around him and heard a voice he hasn't heard in months. "My Love, why are you weeping, we are together again. I won't leave you this time."

Virgil turned around to see Patton, smiling as big as always illuminated by a glow of light. Virgil leaped up and hugged him tight.

In case you didn't get the end, Virgil commited suicide and sang the end of the song before killing himself, bringing him back to Patton.

This one is short but it still is emotional so I'm not gunna make it longer.
