For basis of Characters check out my book Seven Deadly Sins Poem

Trigger Warnings: Talk of Seven Deadly Sins, personification of the seven deadly sins, eating disorders, slight mention of uncaring friends.

Many would fear them, but it didn't matter to them. They ignored the fear that radiated from those around them. They walked together, Pride leading the pack of misfits. Behind him would stand Sloth and Greed, tired eyes and golden bracelets. Behind them stood Wrath and Lust, Lust's arm would be the only decoration around his girlfriend's small waist. She would always have her head against his scratched arms, eyes ablaze. Following last were Gluttony and Envy, sometimes sharing a snack on the way and talking of the others.

They worked in a small office building for 8 hours out of the 24 hour day, always forced to interact. Even at home they couldn't escape, as they shared a 3 bedroom house together. Pride, Sloth, and Greed shared the largest room, and Lust and Wrath had demanded they shared, so Envy was left to share a room with Gluttony. Envy would always wonder why they chose to room her with Glut but room Sloth with Pride and Greed. She figured it would be easier to room the two girls together and have Gluttony share with Pride and Greed. Pride would never explain why he separated them that way when Envy would ask.

At first, Envy resented rooming with Gluttony, he was messy and would suddenly disappear whenever she went to talk to him. She hid her resentment though to keep the fragile harmony of the house. Excruciatingly slowly, they grew closer. It was through growing closer that Envy noticed something strange, or rather somethings. She had noticed that Gluttony would go to the bathroom within an hour after dinner, that alone wasn't odd the rest was though. She noticed he had calluses on his knuckles, but the most concerning part was how she noticed he was dropping pounds almost by the second. 'Bulimia,' She thought, 'He has bulimia...'

She didn't know what to do at first, it took her a few days before she decided to confront him, those few days were agonizing. She could see the effects of his lack of nutrition, he always seemed cold, his lips were bitten and sore, his eyes red and tired, his hair was dry and his skin was drier. She had to help. When it came to confronting him, she knew only one thing. It could not be around the others, only Satan himself would know what they would think. So, that night in their room Envy made the choice.

"What's been going on Glut?"

"Nothing," He answered, "Why?"

"I've noticed some stuff, and wanted to talk to you about it," Envy vaguely replied.

"What have you noticed?" Gluttony asked as he set down the book he was reading.

Envy took a deep breath, "I've noticed you have bulimia Glut. And... And I'm worried for you. You're as small as Wrath is."

Gluttony froze, he could feel the guilt rising. "I... I've had it for a while," he finally sighed out. Envy moved from her green bet to his earthy brown one.

"How can I help?" Envy asked.

"Why do you want to?" Gluttony questioned back, "I didn't expect such helpfulness and compassion from Envy."

"And I didn't expect an eating disorder from Gluttony."

"Fair, Fair," Gluttony mumbled, mostly to himself. He was silent for a moment, thinking. That moment felt like years to Envy. She wanted to know how to help. Gluttony said nothing.

"Why do you do it?"

"Guilt, Regret mostly," Gluttony mumbled. His eyes were cast on his lap, or his bed sheets, or the wall, anywhere except the girl in green in front of him.

"About what? Enjoying food?"

"Yeah. I'll eat so much and then I feel guilty about eating so much while people starve... so... so I get rid of it."

"Glut you need nutrients somehow," Envy said.

"I know that," Gluttony said, crossing his arms. "I just feel like I don't deserve them sometimes."

Envy couldn't believe those words, "You deserve that and so much more Glut." He looked up at her. "You're amazing, you're likely the kindest person in this house, you take care of us all, you're an amazing cook... you deserve the world and more."

"Being the nicest seven deadly sin really isn't an achievement."

"It should be." For a few moments, silence sat between the two.

"So, are you saying this to boost my ego or... what?"

"I'm saying this because it's true and because I care about you!" Envy nearly shouted, "Gluttony, you're such an amazing guy. Honestly, if Wrath could've picked you, Lust would be single."

Gluttony chuckled some, "Me and her never talk. Besides, her and Lust are good for each other."

"Debatable," Envy said, "But that's besides the point. What if instead of eating you try drinking smoothies? We could maybe trick your mind into holding it down."

"The other's would notice that for sure," Gluttony said. He didn't want them to know, and Envy could understand why.

"Oh please! They don't look far enough beyond their own noses to notice the color of their own shoes." Gluttony laughed at that. "You know I'm right!"

"Yeah, you're right," Gluttony replied, Envy smiled at him. "I could try the smoothie thing... I won't make any promises though."

"I'll do it with you... They'll be less suspicious that way."

"What, are you envious I'll eat something different," Gluttony jokes.

"Oh obviously," Envy joked back. In all truthfulness, she wasn't envious of this. She just wanted to get to know Gluttony better. She had never really talked openly with him before, maybe because they were unlikely friends. Even Envy will admit that she expected to be friends with Greed, but they didn't see eye to eye. Honestly, Envy didn't see eye to eye with anyone. But many that would change. Now that she has talked with him openly, Envy could tell that Gluttony was actually an emotional and funny person. She wanted to know more. She wanted to be able to look at him and understand him fully. She would be able to one day. One smoothie at a time, one night spent crying at a time, one time helping him feel better after throwing up at a time, one recovery.
