Here is what would've become a novel, but was soon scrapped ( a few days after being scrapped, I started the Revolts). Note; this chapter itself ISN'T FULLY WRITTEN! It is simply the very very beginning of a novel that never was.
She sat up, looking around frantically, she instantly regretted it.
Everything was weird. The trees had clouds on them, and leaves floated in the sky. The flowers were huge, and had ponds in the center, full complete ponds, with lily pads, and fish, and grass around it. Her shock only grew when she looked the other way.
There she saw a boy, that wasn't a boy. This 'boy' didn't have arms. Although the boy looked completely human, with eyes that held life, a smile of actual joy, he did not have arms. He walked over to her.
"Hello Ma'am, I'm Oli! What is your name?" He- Oli- asked her. She stared at him a few more seconds. Even his clothes showed he had no arms, there simply wasn't arm holes.
"My name is Perri" She stuttered out, she was shocked by Oli.
Oli seemed to notice that Perri's gaze was towards his arms, well lack thereof, and he blushed awkwardly.
"I'm sorry, I should explain. I am a drangrat." Oli tried to fix his forgetfulness.
"A what?" Perri asked, confused completely.
"A drangrat," Oli said, then he looked at her, "Oh you must not be from around here."
"No I am certain I am not." She replied.
"Let me explain, a drangrat is a race. Drangrats, or Ratties as we are called, are missing a body part, for reasons that are unimportant." He explained shortly.
"Oh. So, its normal for people around here to be missing body parts?" Perri quarried.
"I mean yeah, is it not normal where you are from?" Oli asked back.
"No not really, where I am from people missing body parts is rare, and those people had an accident to have lost them." She explained.
"That's odd. So where you are from people look like you?"
"Yeah, I mean most of them do," Perri said, "I've never really thought of it much."
Oli shrugged his shoulders, "Hey Perri, want to go see the town! Its so so cool!!"
Perri smiled softly and decided to humour him, "Sure Oli, Lead the way."
Oli began walking to the town talking about something that Perri wasn't paying any attention to. She was looking around at the world she was now in. It amazed her how amazing everything looked, so may vibrant colors and odd shapes.
Should I have kept going with this idea? What do you all think. Leave your comments.
