Aiden was never the type to fight, they always left that to their friends. But their unwillingness to fight sometimes went to far. Aiden wasn't even willing to fight against their own thoughts. So when their thoughts told them to lay down, and stay there, Aiden did.

Usually this wouldn't have been an issue, except Aiden had been laying in bed and not doing anything else for days now. Simone was fed up with it.

"He isn't coming back Aiden! He left on purpose."

"I know he did Simone," Aiden said softly staring up at the ceiling, "That's what hurts the most."

Simone rolled her eyes and left. 'She never has had patience with me,' Aiden thought, 'She'll probably just send in Tyrone. But he can't do shit either.' Aiden laid still on the bed, looking up at a blank white ceiling, but their thoughts were far from empty. Images of him swirled though Aiden's mind, alongside memories of the moments they shared with him and scenarios that could no longer happen.

The noise of their thoughts were driving Aiden insane, they reached for their phone and put on some music. Aiden quickly laid back down on their bed and sighed. A few minutes passed and Aiden heard a knock on their bedroom door. "Come in Tyrone. I don't see why you're bothering to knock."

Tyrone walked into the room and realized the horrible shape his friend was in. Aiden's hair was a knotted mess, and they hadn't changed out of the forest green hoodie they were given before he left. "I figured you'd appreciate the privacy A."

Aiden let out a breath in a half-assed attempt of a laugh, "Privacy isn't really a thing while living with you and Zack. And I can't forget Simone's will to control us all."

"Fair enough," Tyrone said, sitting on the Aiden's bed. Tyrone gently rested a hand on Aiden's knee. "I didn't think you'd be so torn apart about this."

"I suppose someone should be. It's unlikely Simone would."

"Who needs emotions when you have power," Tyrone said, quoting Simone. Aiden gently closed their eyes, not wanting to see Tyrone's look of pity.

"How bad do I look?" Aiden asked Tyrone. One thing Aiden always liked about having Tyrone in their life was that Tyrone didn't push on topics, and was honest.

"Not to bad. Your hair is a mess though. I'll brush it if you want," Tyrone offered.

"Okay," Aiden said softly as they sat up. Tyrone grabbed the hair brush off Aiden's dresser, pausing for a moment to look at the new crystals Aiden had collected. Aiden worked on taking their hair out of the week old bun as Tyrone sat behind them. The two had an odd sense of brotherhood between them, maybe it's from them being raised together, maybe it's from them trusting each other.

Tyrone was careful as he started to brush out Aiden's hair, "You know Aiden, one thing that I have always liked about your appearance is your hair."

"Really," Aiden questioned, "I always figured my hair made me look too feminine."

"Your hair is feminine, but it's a good balance. It keeps you from looking like a guy," Tyrone explained as he gently brushed out Aiden's hair, "but it's more than just how it balances your look that I like. I like the color as well, the pale golden color is lovely. It's also not a common natural hair color."

"Believe me, I remember the stares from people over it," Aiden said softly.

"If people stare at you Aiden, it's because you're amazing," Tyrone said. The two sat quietly for a few minutes, just listening to Aiden's music. "He loves you. You know that right?"

"He doesn't know how to love someone. He doesn't love me. He just likes me more than the rest of you," Aiden stated.

"He loves you. It's unlikely he realizes that, but he loves you," Tyrone said, "he looks at you the way Zack looks at Angel."

"If he loved me he would have taken me with him."

"If you went as well Me, Zack, and Angel would be indifferent corners of the United States to look for you two. Simone losing him isn't an issue, losing you would be in her mind."

"I wish I left," Aiden said softly, "I hate it here. I hate her."

"Me too Aiden," Tyrone sighed, "Me too.'

The two fell into silence again. Eventually Tyrone had gotten all the knots out of Aiden's hair, but he didn't move away from Aiden. Slowly Aiden moved so their head was resting against Tyrone's chest, and Tyrone instinctively wrapped his arms around Aiden. Aiden's eyelids drooped.

"Shh, it's alright Aiden," Tyrone said gently, "close your eyes and sleep. I'll stay right here and hold you. Everything is going to work out fine. Just close your eyes and rest." Aiden sleepily nodded and carefully drifted off into sleep.

'Yes, Carter loves you,' Tyrone thought as he looked at Aiden as they slept, 'but he is not the only one.'
