Prologue

( I own nothing of HTTYD or Assassin's Creed )

Hiccup P.O.V.
"Leaving! We're leaving. Let's pack up Toothless." Hiccup called out.
Toothless bounded over to him and warbled happily.
"Hey buddy, lets take a little vacation... forever." Hiccup said.
Toothless stood still and let Hiccup attach the saddle onto him.
"Ready boy?" Hiccup asked excitedly.
Toothless jumped into the air as soon as Hiccup clicked the prosthetic tail fin. Hiccup had no intentions to ever return to Berk, and neither did Toothless.
Only as they flew over the arena did Hiccup feel something inside him.
"Let's free those dragons." Hiccup whispered to Toothless.
Toothless growled his agreement, and silently took them to the ring. The dark lighting and lack of guards made it easy to get in. Hiccup walked over to the cages, he knew Gobber had left an emergency switch that opened all the cages. He found it tucked away under some rocks. He pulled it and the cages started to open. All the dragons burst out at the same time, all preparing to destroy anything that came at them. What they did not expect was a single boy, with a Night Fury standing next to him.

Dragons P.O.V.
"A single human challenges me?" The Monstrous Nightmare laughed.
"If you lay a claw on him you will not live to see another day!" The Night Fury growled, making its presence known to the Nightmare.
The other dragons recognized the boy, the Nadder, Terrible Terror, and Gronkle relaxed, because they knew the boy wouldn't hurt them. The Zippleback was a bit tense, but otherwise betrayed no emotion.
"Why do you defend the human?" The Gronkle asked.
The Fury seemed taken aback by the question.
"Well, when I was at the mercy of his blade, he let me go free. I later found out that one of my tail fins had been destroyed when I was shot down, and yet the boy came to me, offering me food and giving me a new tail fin." The Fury said, showing his prosthetic fin to the other dragons.
"Interesting. The boy has never shown me hostility when the other humans were attacking me. And he also helped you." The Nadder said.
"It matters little to me. The gate is open, and I'm leaving." The little Terror said, and dashed out of the entrance.
The Zippleback sighed.
"Finally, that little thing was so annoying." Both Zippleback heads said at the same time.
"Listen, I'm sure you don't care, but the human and I would like you guys to come with us, and away from here." The Night Fury said.
The other dragons were a bit wary, but the Nightmare decided to see if what was said was true. He walked up to the boy and sniffed him, ignoring the Fury's growls of warning. The little human slowly raised his arm, and turned his head away. The dragon saw this as an act of trust.
He put his snout in the human's hand, and saw the boy look back up at him.
"Guess you were telling the truth, Fury." The Nightmare said.
The boy then started gently petting him.
"I guess I'll go with you and the human." The Nightmare said.
"I'll go with you to." The Gronkle said happily.
"I see no problem with going with you." The Nadder said.
They looked to the Zippleback.
"Eh, you?" The left head said to the right head.
"If you want." The right head said.

Hiccup P.O.V.
The dragons were growling and warbling to each other after he calmed the Nightmare. After a few moments they all went quiet. Hiccup looked at Toothless.
"Are they going with us?" He asked.
Toothless nodded his head vigorously.
"Great!" Hiccup said happily.
He got on Toothless and they all left the arena, and then the island.
"Where do you think we could go to bud?" Hiccup asked Toothless.
Toothless gave no reply.
"Well, let's keep flying for now." Hiccup said.

Two Days Later

Hiccup P.O.V.
The Dragons and Hiccup landed on a somewhat large island. They had flown over it a bit, and had seen no village that would attack them.
"What do you think guys, suitable place for a new home?" Hiccup asked the dragons.
All of them looked around, it seemed like a nice place, and if anyone did happen to find where they were, it was an easily defendable island. They all nodded in agreement.
"Great! Now where to set up a new home." Hiccup said excitedly.
Toothless pointed his nose towards the highest point on the island.
"Good thinking bud, we can set up a home around the mountain." Hiccup replied.

Meanwhile on Berk

Astrid P.O.V.
Hiccup had been gone for two days, without a word, and no one knew where he went. Astrid hadn't really cared, it just upset her seeing the Chief so distraught. She went outside, hoping to avoid Snotlout's obnoxious attempts at flirting with her.
"Hey, Astrid."
Or not.
"You know, I was thinking-" Snotlout started, but Astrid cut him off.
"Did it hurt to use your brain for once?" Astrid asked, not hiding her lack of care for the boy.
"No it didn't, but I realized if Hiccup stays missing, I could become the Chief after Stoick." Snotloud said.
Astrid was surprised she hadn't thought about that sooner. Most people always said that Hiccup would lead the island straight to its doom, but Astrid knew the kid was smart. Snotlout would go into his first dragon raid and get them all killed if he became Chief.
Luckily at that moment, Ruffnut and Tuffnut walked up to them, and heard what Snotloud said.
"I don't know what's worse, a dragon raid, or Snotloud becoming Chief." Ruffnut said.
"What are you two doing here?" Snotloud asked the twins.
"Just came to report that a huge storm is supposed to hit the island in a couple hours." Tuffnut said.
That made the other two look at the twins.
"How big?" Astrid asked.
"It could pick up up ships and throw them nearly a mile away." The twins said at the same time.
"Alright, thanks for the info, I was just going to go practice my axe throwing." Astrid said, swinging her axe in her hand.
"Not anymore." Tuff said.
"The Chief ordered everyone to stay inside for the day." Ruff finished.
Seriously!? Astrid thought to herself. Well, better go back then.
"Okay then." Astrid said, and began walking back to her house.
Honestly, no axe throwing, Snotloud eventually becoming Chief. Could this day get any worse?
"I could walk you home." Snotloud suggested, walking up to her.
She could already see her house, so she rejected him.
"There's no need for that, I can already see my house." She declined.

After a few hours, the storm had hit Berk, and it hit hard.
Astrid's mother said it was the worst storm she had ever been in, and that was before the lightning started. Luckily, the storm didn't last, and after only an hour, it had passed, but not before several houses had been destroyed by the wind. Astrid's house only had some damage to the roof, so all things considered, they got off lucky.
After it was over, everyone came out to help repair the destroyed houses. Astrid couldn't help but feel like there was something off though. She just couldn't put her finger on it though. Little did she know that a whole new way of life for the village had accidentally arrived in the storm.

Unknown P.O.V.
It was difficult to sail a ship in a storm, but he made a beeline for an island that he saw in the distance, before something hit him in the head, and he passed out.
