As you came upon the battling toms, you tore your claws across the ShadowClan warrior's pelt. He stopped mid-strike, and you heard a furious yowl erupt from his throat. He whipped around and tore his claws into your neck, too fast for you to even have time to comprehend what he'd done.
You were thrown to the side by his forceful hit, gasping desperately for breath. You felt the blood pour out of your wound. It hurt, it hurt so bad.
Your eyes blurred. You faintly saw ShadowClan warriors retreat, and a distressed Jayflight appear in front of you. You tried to stand up, you tried to reach for him. The sounds of his screaming for Honeynose barely reached your ears, and soon Wildspirit was right by him doing the same thing.
You faintly saw cats gather around you. Wildspirit and Jayflight had their noses in your pelt, letting your warmth touch them just one last time. You struggled to keep your eyes open, but your body yearned for rest. Maybe if you just slept...
You joined StarClan that day while the members of your Clan encircled you. You were thankful you saved Jayflight, but wasn't there a way you could get out alive, too?
