King of Nothing

-several weeks later-
(Y/n) had become bullied by Cardin and the rest of his team. This hasn't sat well at all with his teammates or his sisters. The odd thing though is that he really doesn't seem all to bothered by this. However, (y/n) has been sleeping less lately because, he keeps having nightmares similar to the nightmare he had that first night in the dorm. This is apparent to his team and his sisters as well. His sisters and Pyrrha seem to be the most worried about him but, when asked about it he quickly brushes it off. He was currently sitting in Oobleck's class working in his notebook as he usually does, to everyone it seems as if he isn't paying attention. He is soon ripped from his thoughts as he is hit in the back of the head by a paper football. This causes him to jump a little in surprise before he turns around a little annoyed to see Cardin laughing with his team. However, he doesn't get angry he just sighs before turning around only to be face-to-face with Oobleck. Oobleck then says to the boy.
Oobleck:"Ah Mr Xiao Long being that you seem so lively how about you answer this one. What was the advantage that the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?"
(Y/n) can see Pyrrha trying to gather his attention from the corner of his eye but, he answers without even looking up to her for guidance by saying.
(Y/n):"Simple. Night vision. Most Faunus have this ability which allows them to have perfect vision in the dark. This was a major oversight on the General's part. His lack of knowledge of his opponent was ultimately his downfall. As he decided to attack during the night, at that point his forces were practically defenseless as they were completely blind in the dark. This would lead to his capture and subsequent defeat. This would also mark him as one of the biggest failures in military history."
Oobleck just smile before saying to the boy.
Oobleck:"Correct. Also great explanation Mr Xiao Long."
He then looks toward Cardin as he actually saw (y/n) get hit with the paper football from before. He tells the boy and his team above (y/n).
Oobleck:"As for you Mr. Winchester, you'll be staying after class for extra readings."
Cardin says rather irately.
Cardin:"What why?!"
Oobleck:"You really think I didn't notice you throw something at Mr Xiao Long."
Cardin just sits back down in a huff. Not long after this the bell rings, thus allowing (y/n) and Pyrrha to head back to their dorm. She still seemed rather worried about him and since she knew he would be heading up to the roof to write she'd go up there and talk to him. Upon making it to the roof she sees him sitting on the edge like he always did but he's without his notebook. This confuses her a little thus she slowly walks up to him as she is doing this it is apparent he is in deep thought. Though he is ripped from his thoughts as he notices Pyrrha next him prompting him to say.
(Y/n):"Oh um hey Pyrrha."
He can tell Pyrrha has a face of worry on her face as she asks.
Pyrrha:"(Y/n) are you ok?"
(Y/n) sighs as he says.
(Y/n):"I'm fine Pyrrha. I promise."
Pyrrha sits down next to him which actually causes his heart to race.
Pyrrha:"You don't seem fine."
(Y/n):"W..What do you mean?"
Pyrrha:"(Y/n) you haven't slept well since you got to Beacon. That's also not to mention the bullying you are just shrugging off."
(Y/n) hangs his head a little bit before saying.
(Y/n):"I um I didn't think my issues sleeping was so noticeable."
Pyrrha:"I can see it in your face. You always look so tired."
(Y/n):"Its just I've been having nightmares about that orphanage I lived in."
Pyrrha seems confused as to why thus causing her to ask.
Pyrrha:"Why?"
(Y/n):"I guess those nightmares have been dug up by all the bullying because I was bullied my whole time in that place."
Pyrrha:"If that's bothering you so much why not tell one of the teachers about Cardin's bullying?"
(Y/n):"Because that won't fix it it'll just make it worse. That's something I learned very early on in that orphanage. Why is it bothering you so much?"
Pyrrha seems almost taken aback as she says.
Pyrrha:"Because I care about you (y/n). I don't want you to be unhappy. You are my friend, teammate, and I..."
Pyrrha stops herself as a blush creeps across her face. She then says before heading back down stairs.
Pyrrha:"Look just know Ren, Nora, and I are here for you if you need us just remember that ok?"
(Y/n):"I will thanks Pyrrha."
She just smiles and walks downstairs. (Y/n) then thinks to himself.
(Y/n) thoughts:"Was she about to say what I think she was? Does she really like me that? No you're being stupid (y/n), Pyrrha Nikos can do way better than you anyways."
(Y/n) slowly descends the stairs and gets ready for bed. Surprisingly he slept very well for once as his dream was that of when he became adopted by Summer and Tai.
-Forever Fall Forest-
After Mrs Goodwitch had gone over what everyone was to do teams LNNR and RWBY decided to head off in a direction together to fill the jars that were provided to each of them. Everyone is filling their respective jars with relative ease well except for Ren thanks to Nora. Ruby and Yang seem rather bored (y/n) just assumes this is probably due to the lack of action around. Him on the other hand is enjoying this peace and quiet. Until he notices something massive moving in a certain direction on his motion tracker thus, he gets up and heads the direction of the massive anomaly. Not long after deciding to track this creature he hears a Ursa roar and begins to run to the source of the roar. Upon arriving he notices that the ursa is about to eat Cardin as his aura has flickered red leaving him defenseless. Thus, (y/n) shoots two shadowshot arrows to trees behind it allowing strands to wrap around its arms and neck preventing it from getting in closer to Cardin. (Y/n) then fires two more arrows which more strands come from and latches onto its legs causing it to fall right in front of the now seated Cardin. (Y/n) just walks up to the ursa and shoots it in the head with his Icebreaker causing it to disintegrate. After it had disintegrated he turns to Cardin who just can't help but ask in a state of shock.
Cardin:"Wh...why did you help me?"
(Y/n) just sits in front of Cardin before removing his helmet and saying.
(Y/n):"No one deserves to be eaten by Grimm. Not even you. However, I would recommend you probably just tone down the whole bullying thing."
Cardin looks confused by (y/n)'s statement of which (y/n) notices clearly thus, he continues on by saying.
(Y/n):"Otherwise you'll end up like king Ozymandias."
Cardin:"Whose king Ozymandias?"
(Y/n):"He was known as the king of kings..."
Cardin then interrupts (y/n) by saying in a cocky tone.
Cardin:"And why would I not wanna be like him he's a king of kings."
(Y/n):"Because though he was a king all that was left of his kingdom was a statue with his name on it."
Cardin:"What's your point?"
(Y/n):"If you keep treating everyone like crap you'll be forgotten just like Ozymandias was. It's your life your free to do what you want but, I feel like it's something you should keep in mind."
(Y/n) then gets up and extends his hand to Cardin. Who reluctantly accepts his hand and is pulled to his feet as (y/n) tells him.
(Y/n):"You may want to find your team I'd imagine they are probably worried about their leader."
(Y/n) then walks toward the part of the woods where he sees Pyrrha, Ruby, and Weiss standing. As he is walking that direction he hears Cardin say.
Cardin:"Hey!"
(Y/n) turns to see him say.
Cardin:"Thanks for y'know not letting me die."
(Y/n) just smiles and says.
(Y/n):"Don't worry about it."
Once he makes it to the three girls he immediately asks.
(Y/n):"How much did you all see?"
Ruby is first to answer by saying.
Ruby:"Only when you were talking to him."
Weiss:"Why were you so nice to him even after all he had done to you?"
(Y/n) just kinda shrugs and says.
(Y/n):"I could see it would only lead to him having a lonely life when he got older."
Pyrrha looks confused as she asks.
Pyrrha:"Why do you care about that?"
(Y/n):"Because I know how it feels to be alone and no one deserves that. Now c'mon let's get back to Mrs. Goodwitch."
(Y/n) just walks passed the three as Pyrrha says.
Pyrrha:"Ruby, how is your brother such a kind soul?"
Weiss:"Yeah, it's kinda crazy to think about what he has been through and yet somehow he has come out as such a good person."
Ruby just smiles widely as she says.
Ruby:"He's always been that way ever since my family adopted him. He would always go through great lengths to cheer up Yang and I whenever we were sad. He has always tried to be the best brother he could be and if you ask me he has been the best brother anyone could ever ask for."
This just causes Pyrrha to look at (y/n) with a smile and a look of admiration for her team leader as he is walking forward into the woods.

I know this chapter took awhile and I'm real sorry it just took awhile for me to figure out exactly how I wanted to do this. Would also like to extend a thanks to @Shotgunner75 for giving me the idea for the Ozymandias thing. I would also like to ask that if you guys have a recommendation for how to do the next part unless you guys would rather (y/n) be involved with the whole Blake thing. Leave answer in the comments.
