"This is stupid, why do these things even exist?" Eddie spat as we huddled around him to look at the flier, the school dance. It's something to get us ready for homecomings and proms like in highscbool.

"I dunno, but we better go before we're late." Beverly said, slight annoyance in her voice at the boy's immaturity.

It wasn't all that big of a deal or anything. It was just middle school after dark and in a gym with music playing around us to make the awkward silence a little more awkward.

I stopped at my locker as usual, Richie would be at his at this moment before he meets me at mine. A body pushed itself on the lockers besides mine harshly, I looked to see Peggy with Anna a little ways behind her.

"Hey," She said holding up the flier she must've torn off of a wall, "Are you and your band of geeks going?"

"Dunno," I shrugged annoyed at what she had called us, "You guys going?" I asked shutting my locker and leaning my elbow on it.

She popped her gum aggressively, "Josh is taking me and Blake asked Anna last period." She answered.

"Which one of your Losers is gonna ask you?" She asked taking out that damn compact. One f these days I hope someone snatched it from her hands and chucks it at that thick skull of hers.

"Didn't I just say I didn't know if any of us was going?" I asked rhetorically, we don't talk as frequently anymore, but she always wanted to know my business, like she had to know what I was doing at all times.

I began walking to meet Richie at his locker but they started to follow me, "oh I get it, you don't want us taking about you're little fuck buddy, Bucky Beaver." Anna teased.

I turned around quickly as my blood began to boil, "oh like Blake could boggle your brains out, you don't have any," She gasped dramatically as Peggy snickered at her friend, "What are you laughing at, cause I can assure you that Josh does not want to be necked by Piggy Peggy." Her face turned stone cold and she switched her weight to try and look bigger.

I placed my books down messily and  put my hands on my hips as squared my shoulders, "if you wanna pull stances then we can pull stances, wassup?" Who does she think she is?

She scoffed and walked away, pulling Anna with her. I can't stand them, it seems like every time I'm about to do something nice for me then they have to be in my face. I'm just about to start knockin' these bitches down.

"Hey, gorgeous," I heard, "you okay?" Riche was already picking up my books. I sighed angrily and took my books and folders from him gratefully.
