*Announcement At The End.

"It's raining in August, put your jacket on right." I chastised the boy.

"You're starting to sound like Eddie, babe." Richie said zipping up his jacket, first weekend of the school year, it was great. So far the past two years of my life have been amazing, it terrified me.

"I don't want you getting sick, every time you get sick I have to take care of you." I said as we trailed through the rain on our way to his house.

"C'mon, baby, sometimes you have to live life dangerously, even if that means catching a cold. Not everything is about records, clubs, and grades." He said stepping front of me to grab both of my hands and walk backwards. I shook my head and turned him around. We sat something like, he wanted to be cliché and walk through the rain like in a rom com.

On the way home— Richie's home— we saw little Georgie Denbrough out in street. There was a sewer drain beneath the sidewalk and he reached down to try and retrieve something from the hollows unknown. I must have been the only one out of the two of us to notice him or our surroundings as Richie was rambling nonsense. It was hard to not notice the young boy, clad in a bright yellow raincoat.

"I mean seriously sweets," Richie started as I watched the car in the distance speed down the road, "sometimes you have to get in the way of things in life." He said.

I noticed that the car started to swerve, probably a result of him hydroplaning. Poor little Georgie never saw what was coming for him, but I did. The boy screamed and I jolted into action. I swear I almost broke my legs to try and protect the child, I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him out of the way and into some stranger's front yard.

We were both breathing heavily and he had slight tears welled up in his eyes. The car had gotten some ways down the road and finally stopped all together. Both of us were now soaked, a product of the combination of the damp grass we laid in and the water that the car had splashed on us. Georgie had his arms around me tightly as he trembled, I took shaky breaths and rubbed his back. Longer arms were soon around the both of us, a big kiss was placed against my drenched hair.

"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" Richie said looking at me, he held my face in one hand and rubbed Georgie's head with the other.

"I'll try," I said shrugging, "we'd better get him home." I said gesturing to the small sobbing boy.

Richie furrowed his brows and nodded slowly. We turned down the opposite way, Georgie was on my back and sniffles into my shoulder, my wet curls now framing my face. Richie stood on the side of the sidewalk that was closest to the road and kept pushing me over whenever a car came by.

We got to the Denbrough household, I looked back at Georgie to see that he was still pretty shaken up. I could never forgive myself if I just stood around and watched something like that happen. Richie gave me a look, then a sigh; he knocked on the front door as I bumped the small boy up on my back as he started slipping.

It took them a few moments but soon a nice looking man with brown hair opened the door. He started out with a smiling, but upon seeing our broken states he stepped aside and let us in.

"Hello, Mr. Denbrough, we brought you a present." I said, nodding to the extra weight I carried.

"You children look horrible," gee, thanks, "what's happened?" I let Georgie down as a woman walked towards the doorway. Georgie hugged his mother as she shouted, "Bill, come down here!"

Riche and I looked at one another, I then looked down at my jacket, muddy and dripping. We waited for the eldest Denbrough sibling to arrive, his face showed a mixture of emotion when his gaze fell on the scene.

"She saved me, mommy," Georgie told his mother, they all looked at me, "she saved me from the car."

"What car?" Bill asked, stepping closer to us. I shrugged and moved my shoulders up then down.

"A car slid, it almost hit Georgie, Arri pulled him out of the way." Riche explained for me, seeing how uncomfortable the amount of unknown people in one room made me.

"Yeah, but it got our boat, Billy," Georgie whines to his older brother— referring to the car sweeping away the paper boat, "I couldn't keep up with it."

Bill stopped down to his brother and hugged him, "she, Georgie, you call boats she." He corrected, I scratched the side of my head and made a silent conversation with Richie through a series of unnoticeable body movements and looks.

"Thank you so much," Ms. Denbrough stepped forward towards me, "how could we ever repay you?"

I dismissed the offer, "I don't need anything, swear it." I waved my hands at my words.

"You're awful sweet, no wonder Bill talked about you so often." She smiled at. Bill's face got red as Riche scoffed.

"Mom!" Bill said to his mother, she laughed at her son's flustered reaction. After bidding the Denbroughs a good day Riche and I finally made our way to his house. I looked down at my soaked clothes and hair, he laughed a bit at me and then dug through his drawer.

"Here," He said handing me a pair of grey sweatpants and a black shirt, "you can wear these."

"You're the best." I said pecking his lips before walking over to the door.

"I try." He sighed plopping down on his bed.

I poked my head out from behind the door, "you've never needed to." I blew him a kiss in the air and continued to his bathroom. I finished changing and sighed at the thought of it all. I could feel my hair drip onto the dry clothing material, I used my old shirt and put my hair up with it, walking out of the bathroom.

On my way to his room I could hear that Richie had cut his T.V. on. I smirks at the ridiculous commentary that was made through the screen and tied my shirt up in the front. I've been on this confidence kick lately and I feel pretty hot, maybe Richie's been a good bad influence.

He was sprawled out on his bed with his hands behind his head. I smiled at him and leaned my leg over hi so that I could straddle his waist, I crossed my arms over my chest.

"You're awful cute when you're worried about me." I mused, I thought it was adorable the way he tried to get me to feel the safest I'd been when I was alone with him.

"You're awful cute right now," He said placing his hands on my bare sides, "maybe even more than cute." He implied cheekily. He then began moving me back and forth on his waist. I placed my hands on his chest and flicked his ear, "ow!"

"We're freshmen in Highschool, we're both 15, and I don't think you're ready to handle me." I said crossing my arms again.

"A whole year, we've been together for almost a whole year," he leaned up on his elbows, "you've been driving me insane for awhile year, so you know what someone like you does to a guy like me?"

I giggled and placed one hand on the side of his face and the other on the side of his neck, grazing my thumb against his jawline, "deal with it, you're a honey 15-year-old boy, it's bound to happen." I kissed him slowly, he pouted and groaned.

"Ya know, I thought it was gonna be easy having a hot girlfriend," he said kissing me once more, "it's like torture."

Richie could be a good dad one day.

*announcement- when I first started this book I was planning to do 8th grade year and then jump to their senior year. But that's dumb so I'm gonna have this book contain 8th grade, Freshman, and sophomore year then book 2 to this will contain Junior, Senior year, and then maybe college and life. Happy last day of January
