Anika was left dumbfounded when Shivaay hugged her.
The moment Shivaay saw her , he took her in his embrace. No pleasantries or words were exchanged. But they never felt it necessary to vocalise their thoughts for the other to understand.
Shivaay felt everything finally falling back to its place.
Anika was too shocked to reciprocate or even respond to the situation. But soon she realised that this is not meant to be. There can be no us , not when she was suffering. So composing herself she said ' So Mr. Oberoi , you finally got to know that your brothers and your family are only using you for their own greed. '
Shivaay cupped her face and said ' You no longer need to do this. I know everything. '
Anika was confused. She thought how much does Shivaay knows. It was clear that he knows that he had witnessed a staged drama that day. Now the question was does he know about her? If yes then what is he doing here?
As if he had read her mind , he said ' Anika , when I say I know everything , I mean everything. '
Anika asked ' Shivaay if you know everything , then what are you doing here? '
Shivaay said ever so casually ' I am here to take you home '
Anika said ' Shivaay , I think you don't know anything. Let me clear it to you. I have.... brain tumor. I am not responding to the treatment and might not have long enough as a year to live. '
As soon as Anika said those words , Shivaay kept his finger on her lips and pleaded to not say something like this ever again.
Shivaay while holding her hand and facing towards his car said ' Anika , let's go home and talk there. Come on. '
Anika shrugged her hand out from his grip and said ' No , I am not going anywhere with you. Let's accept what this is. You go your own way like I go on mine. '
And she started walking away. Only she knew how hard it was for her to control herself from hugging him , telling him how much she had missed him , how she wanted to stay with him no matter how many days she have left.
She turned when she felt a tug at her wrist.
As soon as she turned Shivaay said ' Anika , tum itni khidhkitod khoobsurat ho , thok ke bhao mein. Jabse tum meri boring , black and white zindagi mein ayi ho na , meri zindagi mein rang bhar gaye hain , jaise meri kanji aankhon mein rang hain , ek dum vese. Jab tum mere samne aati ho na , meri dhadkan tez ho jati hain. Tum mujhe dikhai na do na , toh meri sanse rukne lagti hain. Tumhe dekh na loon , tumse baat na kar loon , toh mera din pura nhi hota. Mere dil mein na tumne ek dum raita phela diya hain. Raita phela diya hain aur mujhe ishqbaaz bana diya hain. ISHQBAAZ......'
For a moment Anika was tempted to hug him , let him know how much she loves him.
Anika didn't understand should she laugh at the irony of the situation or cry over her fate , the words she was dying to hear , heard them when she was dying. She longer wants him to acknowledge what they had or still have.....
