desperate [park jihoon]

"j-jinyoung?"

jinyoung stops in his tracks, looking back. it was jisun. the junior that messaged him last night.

"kim jisun?" he says hesitantly.

she seems happy that he knows her name. she skips up the staircase, trying to catch up with jinyoung. 

however, her toe catches onto the end of the staircase, making her fall forward.

"whoa-! be careful!" 

jinyoung catches jisun in his arms. flustered, jisun looks up at jinyoung, his hands were holding onto her arms tightly, her head was leaning against his chest. 

jisun's heart skipped a beat as she quickly pulled away. jinyoung takes two steps back.

"a-ah! sorry!" jisun apologizes, running off into the junior side of the building.

jinyoung looks at her disappearing silhouette, putting a hand to his heart.

"w-why is it beating so fast?"

"daehwi can we go shopping later?" hana asks casually, on their way to classes.

"sure! i need some new clothes too"

happy with his answer, hana smiles. she looks forward, but she sees someone she doesnt really want to see, not with daehwi at least.

park jihoon.

jihoon notices hana too, a smile caressing his lips. hana smiles back. jihoon looked like he was about to approach her, however when daehwi notices, he clicks his tongue and drags hana away. 

they quicken their pace, leaving jihoon and hana with merely a glance as an interaction. jihoon had an obvious upset look on his face as he looked away defeated. 

daehwi finally stops when their a safe distance away.

"what did i tell you?!"

hana looks to the ground like a child getting lectured by their parents. 

"please stay away from jihoon" he begs. 

"he seems like a nice person" hana mumbles, looking away. 

"you always manage to see positive sides of bad people huh?" daehwi sighs. 

"whatever, let's go to class already"

jihoon grabs the ends of his hairs in frustration. he lets out an angry sigh as he leans on the wall outside of the school bathroom. 

since class was still going on, he took a hall pass to the bathroom. the halls were empty and he was left alone with his frustration.

"fucking lee daehwi, won't even let me talk to her?" he says angrily. 

he was angry, the pent up frustration not doing wonders to him. 

"why are you so frustrated?"

he looks to the voice to see his current girlfriend, yoon somin. yeah, third one in two months. she approaches him slowly.

somin's hand pushed up against his chest, she tilts her head to look at the taller jihoon. jihoon looks down at her, his eyes half lidded.

"hm?" she urges, wanting to know what's making her boyfriend upset. 

jihoon's hand hesitantly travels to her cheek, holding her in place. 

"it's.. nothing. it's nothing, babe" 

his face moves closer to hers, his eyes closing. knowing what's to come, somin closes her eyes too. their faces move closer until jihoon's lips connect with hers. 

they move in sync, somin loving the moment, but somehow, jihoon couldn't enjoy it. 

no feelings could be felt in the kiss. he felt oddly empty even though she's here. but then he looks up finally, meeting somin's eyes. but he couldn't focus on her.

he only saw hana over her shoulder, walking by, with a disgusted look on her face. 

"why do i have to do everything for the teachers" hana complains, on her way to the staff room to fetch the teacher's books. 

she sighs, her gaze stuck on the ground as she practically has the school map memorized. once reaching the sharp corner however, she hears noises. 

she walks through it unaffected by the couple making out outside of the washroom. deciding to take a peek at who it was so she could complain to daehwi about it, she feels disgusted instead.

it was jihoon, what a surprise. 

maybe what daehwi said was right after all. 

she met jihoon's eyes by accident. quickly looking away, she quickens her pace to the staff room. disappearing into the corner, hana leans against the wall that can't be seen by jihoon, stopping to take a breather. 

she puts a hand to her chest, feeling her heart speed up. confused, she pushes herself off the wall, knocking on the door of the staff room.

oddly, she felt bitter. 

jealousy? perhaps.
