i'm crumbling
pieces falling away
delicate bones
turn to fairy dust
swimming through an ocean
of malnourishment.
shaking as midnight falls
tears spilling
stroking hollow jaws
sliding down
to the desired collarbone.
crossing out words
hope leaving
decisions made
till dusk arises
to reveal a world without me.
a world where my family
is finally happy
sorrow till the funeral
extra rations for my siblings
renting out my room
selling the daughter
who only gave them
burden
hurt
pain
and ultimately,
freedom.
