30 long minutes past and Rebecca is very bored until the lovely Mrs Evans shuffles into the café.
"Hello Mrs Evans!" Started Rebecca;
"Milky coffee and toast with strawberry jam?"
"Of course Rebecca!" Replied the little old lady.
"Coming right up Mrs E! You just take a seat, I will be over in a tick."
Mrs Evans staggers over to the table near the window- her usual table.
Rebecca is grinning now, her eldest best friend has arrived. Finally someone to have a good conversation with!
She takes Mrs Evans coffee and toast over to the table she's sat at, and sits on the seat opposite her.
"Now then," Mrs Evans sighed; "how are you, my dear?"
"I'm okay thankyou, how are you? Everything okay at the doctors yesterday?" Rebecca asked anxiously.
"Yes everything's 'all good' as you youngsters say!" Chuckled the little old lady; "how's that little brother of yours?"
"Tommy is great thanks Mrs E. Getting a bit too clever now! Getting cheeky!"
A boy walked in through the wooden, green door.
"Sorry, Mrs E, gotta go see to this customer."
Mrs Evans smiled, and took off her navy blue coat.
Rebecca hadn't seen the boys face from where she was with Mrs Evans, but now she was standing opposite the boy she realised he was her age, and he was very good looking!
"Hello" Rebecca squeaked.
"Hi, please can I have a hot chocolate?" The mysterious boy asked in his deep, attractive voice.
"Whipped cream? Marshmallows?" Suggested Rebecca.
The boy bites his lip, almost killing Rebecca with his attractiveness.
"Mmm, just whipped cream please." He smiled and sat on the corner table.
Rebecca is thinking of things to say to him as she makes his hot chocolate.
She's made his hot chocolate and it looks perfect, just like him Rebecca thinks.
She approaches the corner table.
"Here you go." She places the mug in front of him. He looks up at her with his chocolate brown eyes and he smiles again, this time flashing his white teeth.
"Hope you enjoy it" Rebecca smiles at him. She notices his hair is almost the exact same shade of blonde as hers. He must have noticed she was staring, because he started talking more.
"Do you work in here every day?"
"Nope, 4 times a week. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday" Rebecca quickly replied.
"Oh cool. Well I will probably see you more often then. I've just moved to Lamb Lane."
Rebecca's eyes light up. Maybe they could hang out!
"Awesome! I live just round the corner in Redrigg court."
"Will see you around at some point then. By the way, my names Connor."
"I'm Rebecca. Some of my friends call me Becca though."
"Guess I will be calling you Becca then." He smiled again.
"Suppose you will be." She grinned, and strutted to the main counter.
