Chapter 10- did you mean it?

They walk into Connor's room, which has bright green walls and white curtains and bed sheets.

"Nice!" Rebecca says strolling towards a guitar which is propped up against the bed.

"Can you play?" She asks, her green eyes looking up at Connor.

"Kind of..."

"That's a yes then? Go on! Play me something quickly!"

"Nah, I'm not very good."

"Pleeease!" Rebecca looks at him with puppy dog eyes, sticking her bottom lip out.

"Fine!" He says giving in to her sad face.

He picks up the guitar and sits down on the bed, he starts to play a song. Rebecca hums the tune.

"It's wonderwall!"

"Yeah, I can't play much else."

"You're really good!" Rebecca says, starting to sit down next to him on the bed.

"Connor propped the guitar against the wall and turned to Rebecca.

"So then, that kiss."

Rebecca looks down at the floor, she thought he was about to say it was a mistake.

"Did you mean it?" Connor asked Rebecca.

"Of course I did Connor, like c'mon! Your flippen' gorgeous, and you're so honest and I really like you."

"Well, your flamen' beautiful, you're so kind and cute and I like you loads."

He leans in to kiss her again, she pulls away.

"Sorry Con, I think we need to hang out a little more before we go any further."

"Sure I understand!"

Rebecca's phone buzzed, she unlocks her phone. It was Sammy;

'Remember be home by 11 xx'

She looks at the time on the display it tells her it's 10:37.

"I need to be back home by 11." Rebecca says disappointed.

"Okay, don't worry. There will be other times."

Rebecca remembers it's school tomorrow.

"Damn, it's school tomorrow!" She groans.

"Oh yeah, same for me."

"What school you going to go?"

"High Cross" Connor's forehead wrinkles.

"That's the school I go to!" They smile and laugh at each other.

When Rebecca is lying in bed that night she gets a text from Connor;

'Tonight was great, see you tomorrow C xxx'

She quickly replied before putting her phone on her bedside table.

'If you don't see me at school before 11 tomorrow at 11:10 meet me near the science labs. Night xx'
