Chapter 6- Lets go into town!

It's Sunday and Rebecca is sitting at her desk, finishing some English homework she should have done last week and not the day before half-term ends. She can't concentrate properly because all she can think about is Connor. He hasn't text or called her since Wednesday.

Rebecca finishes her last paragraph of her short essay, and decides it's time she gets some fresh air.

She searches the house for Sam, and finally finds her in the kitchen making cupcakes.

"Is it okay if I go up town?" Rebecca asks as she walks up to Sam.

"Are you going with a friend?"

"I wasn't planning on going with anyone.." She trails off.

"I'm not sure Becca, I know you're 15 now, but.. It's 20minutes away and if.. Anything happened when you were alone..."

"I understand Sammy, you don't need to explain yourself!" Rebecca smiles at her "I will ask Lilly if she would like to come with me."

Rebecca walks upstairs and throws herself onto her bed, grabs her phone and texts Lilly:

'Hiya Lil do u wanna go to town with me? Haven't seen you all hols xxx'

She gets a reply almost instantly:

'Sure! Will meet u at the bus stop in 10? xxx'

Rebecca quickly runs downstairs and double checks she has permission to go.

'Yeah c u soon xx'

She walks to the bus stop, and checks the timetable. There's a bus at 12pm, she checks her phone it lights up and tells her it's 11:54am.

Rebecca stands waiting for Lilly to come around the corner at any second.

Sure enough she does and at 11:56 the blonde haired girl smiles and waves at Rebecca.

"Hello!" She says excitedly.

"Hey there, you're just in time!"

Just as she said that last word the bus came down the road and pulled over. The doors opening for the girls to clamber in.
