They walk through the park gates and Tommy runs towards the slide.
"Be careful Tommy!" Rebecca shouts to him. Tommy turns around to her and smiles.
Connor looks around at everything, the graffiti on the bins, he starts to laugh and Rebecca looks at him, puzzled.
"What's so funny?" She asks inquisitively.
"I didn't think you were the type to vandalise a park wall!" He points over to a wall covered in names, one reading 'Becca was here' in electric green spray paint.
"That wasn't me! I wouldn't do such a th-"
"Joking! I know you wouldn't do that kinda thing, your not that type." Rebecca's head tilts up toward him, as he's a couple inches taller than her.
"What's that meant to mean?!" She says, playfully pushing him.
"Haha, nothing bad! Just you seem respectful." He smiles down at her.
"Hey! Look at me!" Tommy was on top of a wooden post you can climb up. Connor and Rebecca both start to laugh as he does different poses whilst standing on the post.
They find two swings near a see-saw that Tommy was playing on with another little girl of a similar age.
"Maybe we could do this more often?" Connor suggests, lightly swinging dragging his feet across the ground, skuffing his shoes.
"Yeah" Rebecca smiled at him, "that sounds good!"
"How about you give me your number, and I could call you to let you know when we could meet up?" Connor looks at Rebecca in hope. She starts scrambling in her handbag for her phone. She finally finds it and pulls it out, reads her number to him and he creates a contact.
"Me and Tom better head home seem as my dad and Sam will wonder where we are." She gets up off the swing and flattens down her skirt.
"Okay, I will chill here for a while." He smiles.
"Alright, bye Connor."
"Bye Connor!" Exclaimed Tommy.
"Goodbye Tommy, see you soon Becca!" He grinned.
Rebecca and Tommy are walking out the gates of the park, when she receives a text message. She reaches into her bag and unlocks her phone, the message reads:
'Its only me, really enjoyed today will have to do it again. C xx'
Thoughts run through Rebecca's mind: 'does he like me? Did he try to kiss me? Did he send kisses on purpose? Or does he send them to everyone? What should I reply back?'
She settles for:
'Enjoyed it too, give me a text or call when we can meet up next'
No kisses- just incase he didn't mean it.
