Rebecca and Connor walk along the street, watching Tommy skip a little ahead.

"So then, we'll head to the park and I will point out places as we go along." Rebecca says to Connor.

"Sounds great to me!" He smiles.

"Are you going to tell me a little about yourself then? You know where I work and you've met my brother!"

"Well, I'm 15.. I have a dog..." Rebecca notices he seems shy, so chirps in;

"Aw, I love dogs! What's it called?"

"Stan!" His eyes light up.

"I bet he's adorable! What's he like?"

"He's a black Labradour" he replies, "and he is a very quiet dog." He looks into the distance to watch Tommy skipping.

"I will have to meet him one day?" Rebecca suggests.

"Yeah, that would be great! I don't really know anyone around here, and I'm an only child so it gets quite boring at home." He sighs.

"Oh right, I didn't know.."

There's a silence, and they both just watch Tommy entertaining himself not stepping on the cracks in the pavement.

"I don't really have many friends either.." Rebecca says to break the silence. Connor looks up and raises his eyebrows.

"I thought a girl like you would be dead popular!" Rebecca blushes, but can't help but smile. Connor must have felt awkward after what he said as he went bright red.

"No, at school I only really hang around in a group of 5" she smiles, and Connors looks right into her deep green eyes.

"There's me, Holly, Hannah, Luke, Dan and my best friend Lilly." She is now smiling at Connor.

"Sounds great! I will have to meet them sometime!" There eyes lock, and it's as if time has frozen. Connor leans closer towards Rebecca, but Rebecca turns away startled by the fact he nearly kissed her.

"That building over there" she stutters, and points to an old building with a blue roof on the left side of the road, "that's the village hall. Where all the events and meeting take place."

Connor nods, but seems to be day dreaming. Rebecca ignores his lack of interest and carries on;

"That building with the pink door next to it, that's the 'youth centre'.. But it's more of a building that has a cafeteria, locker room and a pool table. With about 6 chairs.. The rest have been stolen." Connor seems to be listening more and he gives a snort of laughter.

"We hang out there sometimes, but sometimes there are some people who just wanna cause trouble.. and well, it's not worth the hassle!"

"Oh right, don't know why people can't just be civil." He said.

Rebecca shrugs her shoulders.
