LIA
Justin and I walk to the guest room so that I can get myself settled in. Pattie's sleeping and she doesn't hear us come inside the house which is a relief because who knows what she would have thought of us being in here together at this time.
"I'll get you some clothes," Justin says before he leaves the room. I sit on the bed and wait for him to return. Why am I even staying the night anyways? this is all clearly pointless because there's no need for me to stay here. I don't know why he's doing this...
"Here." He comes back in and hands me one of his big shirts without no pants or shorts.
"Can I have some sweatpants or shorts?" I ask.
"Nah you're fine with just that shirt. It's big enough to cover." He says back.
"No. Get me something else," I reply and he suddenly chuckles and retrieves his other hand that he had been hiding behind his back.
"Here," he hands me his sweatpants. "I knew you'd make a fuss so I decided to play with you," he adds.
"Not very nice." I scold but with a smile forming my lips.
"I think we've established that I'm nowhere near nice."
"You can be nice when you want." I tell him.
"I'm only nice when I like someone," he admits and his eyes suddenly get a bit wider at what he just realized that he had said but soon enough they go to their regular size.
"Is this your way of implying that you like me?" I smirk.
"What if I am implying that I like you? what would you think?" He questions. I honestly don't know what I would think... I would think two things I mean it's a good thing but at the same time it's a bad thing? I don't even know if I'm making sense right now but out of the sudden, my hearts starts to race and I feel my thoughts coming in really fast. Damn I'm nervous.
"I wouldn't mind." I answer back, dammit what a lame respond. Did I really have to go with that out of many other things that I could've said back?
Now I'm suddenly looking at his lips. They look so full and soft. What the hell is going on with me today?
"Good because I am implying that I like you." He thankfully interrupts my thoughts.
"Why did you make that plan to stop Chris and I from being partners?" I suddenly blurt out. Nice topic change.
"I don't like him and I didn't want you to be partners with him, simple as that." He responds as if he doesn't even care that he thought or did such a thing.
"Well you didn't have to like him because he isn't your partner, he's mine." I tell him.
"Whatever, the project is going to be over on monday anyways so who cares anymore?"
"Not me." I say.
"Exactly so let's switch up the topic... once again." Oh so he caught on to when I switched the topic earlier.
"What am I doing here?" I ask him.
"I don't know... I guess I just wanted you to stay. Why do you keep asking me questions?"
"I ask questions when I'm nervous." I admit.
"I've noticed." He agrees.
"I'm tired, I'm gonna go to sleep now." I tell him.
"Okay, goodnight." He says and suddenly starts to walk towards the door.
"Goodnight." I say back and feel a bit of disappointment rush through me when he walks out. Why did he make me stay if I'm just going to sleep in the guest room I mean he might as well just taken me home so that I could have slept on my bed... I thought he was going to stay with me. I mean, I'm not surprised that he didn't stay because he did say that he doesn't do these types of things but at the same time I'm confused as to why he didn't even give me one of his smirky comments or ask if he could stay with me. Of course, nothing would have happened besides sleep but it would have been comforting to have him here.
Short and boring chapter, I know sorry. Next one will be longer and I'm updating next week or earlier.
