LIA
"Okay sooo..." I began, not knowing how to continue. Where do I begin? I don't know what's going on his mind right now and knowing him, it must be serious if he's taking the time to come out here and talk to me.
"This was a bad idea, I don't know what to say..." He brought his fingers up to his hair and gently tugged on it. He's not making this any better.
"What did you want to talk about?" I ask in hope for him to say something about the situation.
"Why'd you change the subject when I sort of hinted out that I like you?" He blurted out. Oh.
"I don't know... I was nervous, I guess." I look away from him and stare at the window while I wait for his respond.
"You don't have to be nervous around me baby." He says as I feel his hand come to my thigh and his fingertips brush against the revealing skin.
"Oh but trust me, I'm nervous around you most of the time." I admit, still keeping my stare on the window.
"You don't have to be. What makes you nervous?" He questions, his fingertips still gently caressing my thigh.
"The things that you say. I don't know if you'll explode and get mad one second when you're being nice and when you're being rude, I just simply get nervous because I mean who wouldn't?"
"Babe that's just my personality you don't have to be nervous. You have nothing to be nervous about, I'm the one that should be nervous." He says.
"Why should you be nervous?" I ask.
"Because I'm such a shitty guy and you're... you. I don't even know why you're talking to me right now." He admits.
"It's the other way around Justin. Don't think that about yourself."
"Can you look at me?" He questions. I tear my stare away from the window and turn my head around to look at him.
"My mom's birthday is tomorrow and my family is throwing her a little party, you should come." He casually says.
"As your date?" I amusedly smile.
"Maybe..." He smirks.
"Okay it's a date." I agree.

JUSTIN
Ethan and I walk inside my house after school to do a stupid project that's due tomorrow. My mom's sitting on the couch which makes me think about earlier.
"Mom can my friend come over to your party tomorrow?" I ask her although I know she won't mind and besides, I already asked Amelia either way.
"What friend?" She responds back.
"Amelia."
"Lia? Yeah of course she can!" She smiles so wide, I'm pretty sure anyone could sense her happiness.
"Alright."
Ethan and I go up to my room to get started on the project.
"So you have a date with Lia huh?" He smirks.
"Shut up." I chuckle.
"I knew you liked her dude, I knew it! It was about time, I was close to shoving you guys together in a locked room." He admits.
"You thought that?" I laugh.
"Well not really, it was Sarah's idea but I agreed with her." He says and adds, "so are you nervous?" He asks.
"Me? nervous? Nah." I answer.
"Yeah right, I bet you are. You guys aren't even dating yet and you're already nervous imagine when you guys actually date, you'll be whipped dude."
"We won't date." I lie?
"Keep telling yourself that." He tells me and chuckles as if the most amusing thing he's heard.
Maybe he's right. I hate to admit it but I'm falling for Amelia more every time we talk. I like her a little more than I should but I'm not going to do anything to stop feeling this way.
